Notes

2-0-1. During the draft, green was wide open, and black was pretty open in my seat, so the draft went well. I thought about adding Mazirek to the deck but I didn't have enough sacrifice enablers.

Match 1 I went 2-0. Wrenn and One was completely overpowered and ran away with the game when I played it turn 1, and singlehandedly won me one of those games - I then overran my opponent with an overloaded Scale Up which was sick. Match 2 I went 1-1 - I got them down to 6 but couldn't close out the game during turns, and even then I'm not sure I would've won had we had time to complete the match. Match 3 I was downpaired with someone who was 1-1-0 and I won against them 2-0 - game 1 I played Wrenn and One into a Giver of Runes (I was on the draw) and they had a pump spell and killed my turn 1 land! But I managed to stabilize by playing Sakura-Tribe Elder and ended up even ahead of them on lands. (Also during matches 1 and 2 I was running Streetwise Negotiator as a 2-drop instead of Dauthi Embrace, which I added to the deck after realizing I needed a game ender when the board was full on both sides. In match 3 Dauthi Embrace did pay off by allowing me to give my opponent's creature Shadow and making them unable to block my multiple creatures. I also got Wrenn and One off in game 2. I ended up 2nd place in the tourney since I had been paired down, and the opponent from Match 2 got 1st because they were paired up, though we had the same overall record. I opened up a Foil Godless Shrine in my promo pack and I had a blast so it was worth it!
