I was just thinking of putting together a list for this guy when I saw you'd beat me to it. He seems really sweet in EDH. I've gotta ask though, do you just jam Hateflayer into every deck ;)
Flayer is pretty sweet with double strike, since it can trade with almost every creature in magic if on the attack. The deck isn't at all ready, I started out just searching for all 1 cmc cards in Jeskai colors and adding the ones that either give a large boost or cycle themselves and then looking for cards that do something neat when they hit a player... and slowly removing them.
Rollicker sticks around - its almost a perminent powess trigger I dont have to pay for again, but I doubt it will make the cut.
There is probably a better way to build it, but I really like that there is a large number of cards in the deck that I can just cantrip and give an enemies creature double strike to make the game a little more political.
Not that I will ever end up building it... I might adapt my Zedruu list to a Shu Yun, since it is a sunforger deck, I still lement I can't run Wordmail in my playgroup and deal 18 commander
I do like the idea of cheap cantrips, and actually cards like Icy Blast even seem super sweet in this deck.
Ok, I could get behind Hateflayer (was mostly just giving you a hard time since I know how much you do love the card) it seems fine in this deck.
If you do go to change over your Zedruu deck, I'd say the only card I was considering that I don't see in here is Waves of Aggression. It's not exactly a rebound spell, but it'll get you there in the late game, and seems pretty sweet with the other creatures in the deck.
//IGNORE THIS PART IF THIS IS A FRENCH LIST I have to say that I appreciate you leaving out Sol Ring, if intentional it does kinda feel like this is the deck that needs it the least. Although Mana Crypt does feel like a winner in this deck with T1 Shu being a pretty sick beating
Might still throw together a version on my deckbox and just stare longingly at it before deciding not to play it for being unfun to play against. Though if I do build it I'd most likely convert my Nin deck over.
I try to leave most banned fast mana out of any of the decks I play - in my playgroup at least I do not need it to still be a competitive deck (its a pretty low powered group).
fast mana is also not dead like in some other decks, since they all trigger prowess; definitely should include those, perhaps as well as lotus petal and the suspend one, for the triggers and the explosiveness.
Also what's the deal with Nyxborn Rollicker?
