No promo sort at this time.  There have been many comments requesting promos as sets of their own.

Another thing that would be nice is a format filter so that it's possible to glance through the collection of what I have with what can be used in the format. Especially ones like standard

There is a format filter.  Rather than re-list them all here, feel free to visit  this link to another reply I made that lists filter options.

As I've been adding additional copies to Inventory, I've come across a bug when I already have six (6) or more in inventory, with two (2) or more in the trade column.

When I type the name of a card that is already in Inventory, a new line appears with a quantity of one.  If I have five or less of that card already, everything is fine.

If I already have have six (6) or more in Inventory, with two (2) or more in the tradelist column, when the new row is entered for the card, it automatically populates with one (1) in the Inventory column and (1) in the trade column.  At the same time, it reduces the number of card in the tradelist column of the original (six quantity) row to one (1).

This does not happen if I have five (5) in inventory and one (1) in the tradelist.  When I enter a card that already has those quantities, I get a new row with a one (1) in inventory and zero (0) in the tradelist.

2. This site should allow you to sort and find cards by foil, promo, full art, etc. More sorting options... MOREEEEEEE!!!!

On your Inventory pages, click Search and Filter (top right region of the page).  At the far right of the screen area that appears, you'll find many sorting options in the drop-down at the far right.  Filters include:

  • Name

  • Rules Text

  • Type

  • Subtype

  • Is Foil

  • Edition Owned

  • Edition Printed In

  • Format

  • Rarity

  • Color

  • Cost

They are simple queries, but you can you multiple of them together. For example, setting filters for

Format==Standard
Color==Is Exclusively All of Black, Red
Rarity==Uncommon

will net you a list of all your Black/Red uncommons that are legal in the Standard format.

3. An internal way to message a friend. I don't see how to right now.

There is an email link on each user's Deckbox profile page.  It generates a message to the member's external eddress.  There is no system within Deckbox at this time to view or respond to messages outside of the trade chat interface.

Things keep changing around here, with the goal of making things better.  Sebi (The Admin) and company are currently working through upcoming changes to the trade interface.  Welcome aboard!

Sebi and company are aware of the pricing issues.  There has been a change in the TCGPlayer API since the 2.0 release here.  Since that change, some prices here have been out of sync.  Sebi has been working on the trade interface changes, and they have taken longer than he expected.  We all hope to hear from him soon, both on the expected trade interface, and in response to the various pricing issues that have been raised.

Can we get a "trade" button in multiple places? I find the one on the persons profile isn't intuitive.

Also, a "trade for these" button that initiates a trade based on the list of cards you have vs cards another member has. I find that I want to trade for many cards on someones list and I have to copy/paste or retype every card after I open a trade.

Yes. Being able to check a box or enter a quantity when viewing a partner's tradelist would be nice.

IMO, anything bigger than a four-drop may not often see the board.

Blood Artist is wonderful, especially if you can get multiple into play.  Then burn some creatures and watch the panic rise in some of your opponents...

Remember that no deck runs perfectly against every other deck out there.  If you try to plan for everything, the deck might end up good for nothing.  Focus, instead on cards that you would have included in your deck anyway, were you not trying to keep it to a certain size.

I run a goblin aggro deck.  The main deck has some burn spells for spot removal (or direct damage), the ability to create a lot of goblins early, and to make those goblins bigger (e.g., Teetering Peaks, kicked Goblin Bushwacker, overloaded Dynacharge).  It has no fliers, to that's a weakness.  Had I had more room, I would have included Goblin Balloon Brigade (pay one red to give it flying until the end of the turn).  Since I couldn't fit them in the main deck, I put three of them in my sideboard.

I hope that helps.  Just make your deck the best it can be, focusing on what you need it to do.  As you play it, you'll figure out what you may want to change in the main deck, or what you will want in the sidebaord.

Only Sebi can let us know an ETA on the next release.  Hopefully he will have news for us soon!

Rather than keeping the Krenko's Command, consider adding Thatcher Revolt.  The human tokens it creates get sac'ed at the end of the turn, but they will let you attack and activate Batallion abilities on any other creatures you already have in play.

I set up a search on my inventory today with the following parameters:

Set owned: Innistrad
Color (one of): Green
Is Foil: False

Then I sorted by name (A to Z)

The results do not show Avacyn's Pilgrim.   I tried modifying the search to "Set Printed In", but got the same result.  As soon as I cleared the filters, I could find it.

Here's the URL from the page with the filters in place: http://deckbox.org/sets/55672?s=n&o … *!c397!795

It seems that the "Is Foil" filter is trumping things.  I don't want to see records (rows) for foil versions, but want to see cards that have non-foil versions in inventory.

I've not experienced that one.  Are you able to test in another browser, to see if it happens there, too?

I've come to expect that from foils.  I don't believe it has a significant impact on value.

I think they'll eventually change the name of that format, or tighten up the rules a bit on legal sets.  After all, in another 20 years, 8th edition won't be very "modern", now will it?

Agreed.  I've noticed this, too.  It seems to be (as best I can tell), when the details each party has do not match up 100% (e.g., I list I want a NM and the one I receive is a M,  I listed a specific version and the one I received has no version information).

Is there any way to expedite the return of sorting by count in columns in the inventory page (click the icon to sort by qty. owned, qty in tradelist, qty. in wishlist)?

Something is not right with how trades are updating (inbound and/or outbound--not sure which or if both).  I've been burned on a few trades lately, either having too many go out, or having more come in than I needed.  Each time, it seems to tie back to having bad numbers in the tradelist or wishlist columns.  Before the update, I could click on those columns to sort (high to low, or low to high).  If the number in any column was wrong, I could click in it and correct it.

Since we have individual rows for each set now, editing the wishlist quantity in the column again would make sense.  If one wants to add a different version to the wishlist or tradelist, an icon could access the current ("new") popup interface for making the edits.

As it stands now, I must go into each wishlist entry via the popup and make changes.  For a few cards, that would be okay.  For a few thousand, it's shaping up to be a minor nightmare.

Thanks!

If there was one, the creator would be rich by now! lol

I just recommend chunking it.  Assuming you already have them sorted in some fashion, just try to enter some each day.  At a rate of 500 per day, it will take you about six months to get through all of them.  If you can do 1,000 a day, you are down to three months.

Even better than a mobile app, in my opinion, would be a "light" version of the website--a very bare bones interface--logon screen, simple menu, simplified (simple text) output.

That's just my opinion, though...   :-)

I was hoping someone else would hop in on this one, but here goes...

At this time, there is no specific way to mark cards as altered in the system.  Some traders use current options, and add notes to their profile to specify what they use.  For example, one trader might set the language to French and set the Promo and Textless tags to mark those that are alters.  Then that trader would list something like this in his/her profile: "Altered cards are marked French, Textless, Promo in my inventory/tradelist."

Another option would be to create a deck that contains all of your altered cards.  Then post the link to the deck in your profile (and, if desired, in your signature).

There's a possibility that an "altered" tag might be added in the future, but that will be up to Sebi.

Have you ever played the Commander/EDH format? I started playing it this year, and find it to be the most fun for a multi-player venue.  Because you are limited to a quantity of one of each card (other than non-basic land, and cards that specifically override the limit--e.g., Relentless Rats!), people tend to get creative with their decks.

Before you buy a box, contact Vincentarasin.  He's the guy selling/trading fat packs.

I recently bought four fat packs for $100, including shipping.  That gave me 36 packs (the same as a box), plus four land packs, four spindowns, four collector guides, and three boxes (he broke one of the sets down to keep it all in the smallest possible flat rate box).  Not only did I enjoy cracking the packs, but I got decent pulls (including multiple shocklands and some other good rares/mythics), and I've been able to trade away the extras (boxes, guides, spindowns).

Well worth considering it, at least.

I know that folks have reported a change in TCGPlayer's pricing.  I'm not whether or how that is affecting the API Sebi is using to pull that data.  Sebi or Catnica will need to let us know if they have a timeframe for addressing the pricing changes.
