You don't have a prerelease promo Bloodsoaked Champion in your inventory, you just have a Khans version with the promo flag selected.  The price displayed is for the Khans version, since that's what you have listed.  If you chose the right version, it would show the right price (except in this case, the card is so new that there is no pricing data yet for the promo version.)

Yes, card counts and set values should reflect the current filters, if any are selected.

It shows black border, too. Weird.

Is that not Starter 2000?

http://magiccards.info/st2k/en/10.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starter_2000

Starter 2000 was very unusual in that it contained identical reprints of 6th Edition cards, while other cards in the set were essentially reprints of Starter 1999 cards, without an expansion symbol.

Some of the cards in M14 were reprinted, and are still standard-legal. If you only want to see the current versions, set the filter to "edition owned - is one of - Theros, Born, Jorney, M15, or Khans" instead of using "format - is one of - standard".

I didn't test it before I sent it.  ( I honestly didn't even know there was a test you can do.)  He said that it fails the blacklight test.  Does anyone know what this means?

All Magic cards (except Alternate 4th Edition, which was printed with a special UV-protective coating to prevent fading) luminesce under black light. Many fakes do not. More info can be found, here: http://www.apathyhouse.com/fake/page334.php

Yes, that's correct:

903.11. If a commander would be put into its owner’s graveyard from anywhere, that player may put it into the command zone instead.

Note, the player may put it into the command zone. They don't have to if they don't want to.

now... in the trostani example, if you cast heliod and with 4 devotion on the field counting the 2 devotion from trostini you still _do not_ get the etb effect from trostani... because... due to the layering rules and 614.12 below (specifically "as it would exist on the battlefield"), he doesn't become a creature until after he enters the battlefield increasing the deovtion to 5, thus trostani can't "see" him enter the battlefield as a creature.  If the devotion was 5 already then trostanis' etb effect would trigger and you would gain the life.

This is wrong.  614.12 is referring to replacement effects that modify "how" a permanent enters the battlefield such as, for example, something entering the battlefield tapped (instead of untapped), or with counters on (instead of with no counters).  This doesn't apply here at all, since Heliod doesn't even have any replacement effects (let alone ones that modify how it enters the battlefield), as defined in 614.1:

614.1. Some continuous effects are replacement effects. Like prevention effects (see rule 615), replacement effects apply continuously as events happen — they aren’t locked in ahead of time. Such effects watch for a particular event that would happen and completely or partially replace that event with a different event. They act like “shields” around whatever they’re affecting.

614.1a Effects that use the word “instead” are replacement effects. Most replacement effects use the word “instead” to indicate what events will be replaced with other events.

614.1b Effects that use the word “skip” are replacement effects. These replacement effects use the word “skip” to indicate what events, steps, phases, or turns will be replaced with nothing.

614.1c Effects that read “[This permanent] enters the battlefield with . . . ,” “As [this permanent] enters the battlefield . . . ,” or “[This permanent] enters the battlefield as . . . ” are replacement effects.

614.1d Continuous effects that read “[This permanent] enters the battlefield . . .” or “[Objects] enter the battlefield . . .” are replacement effects.

614.1e Effects that read “As [this permanent] is turned face up . . . ,” are replacement effects.

Heliod's ability is simply "always on" while he's on the battlefield.  So if your devotion to white is four and then you cast Heliod, then after he resolves and enters the battlefield your devotion will be five and he will be a creature.  There is no point in time when Heliod is on the field already, and your devotion is still less than five, and so likewise, there is no point in time when he is on the field, and is not yet a creature.  He will have entered the battlefield as a creature, and anything that triggers when a creature enters the battlefield will "see" him enter and will trigger appropriately.  There's even an entry in the Theros set FAQ which covers this exact scenario (bolding mine, for emphasis):

If a God enters the battlefield, your devotion to its color (including the mana symbols in the mana cost of the God itself) will determine if a creature entered the battlefield or not, for abilities that trigger whenever a creature enters the battlefield.

In regards to the original question, though, no.  If your devition to white (after Heliod resolves) is still four or less, then no creature will have entered the battlefield, and Trostani's ability will not be triggered.

For what purpose?  How are you trading them, if you don't actually have them?

Fixed.

Seems to have un-fixed itself: https://deckbox.org/users/dystopia/trades

(As in, "I don't think he's coming back." should actually read "I don't think he's coming back.")

Question -- what happens in the following scenario:

I have one Lightning Bolt (for example) in my collection. I make several (let's say two) proposals offering this same card up for trade. Both of thm are accepted. With one of them, I confirm my address and send the Lightning Bolt. I no longer have a Lightning Bolt in my possession. With the other one, I cancel the trade and...one Lightning Bolt is added back onto my inventory and tradelist? Or...dot dot dot, question marks?

Format warping is a lame excuse sometimes.

If Mental Misstep were legal, then every single deck would literally have to be 56 cards and 4x Misstep, just to have a shot at combatting your opponent's Misstep and actually landing a first-turn play once in a while.

Sensei's Divining Top is one of the most ridiculous cards ever printed. Sensei's + Counterbalance = {1}: Counter target spell. That's the cornerstone of legacy UW miracles which is a hugely successful deck. If that were in modern it would completely dominate the format.

The way I heard it, that one's not actually related to power level or consistency, it's just that Sensei's Top leads to too much shuffling of unwanted top cards back into the library, which makes tournaments tend to drag ass as every. Single. Round goes to time and extra turns.

I'm pretty sure you'd be allowed to cancel the trade at this point, just to get it off your active trades list.  Don't just up and cancel it, though.  First, you need to head on over to the BTR forum and file a report; the other member has broken rule 1.2 (Inactivity and Unresponsiveness) by not responding for more than seven days.  The admins will contact them via email and give them seven more days to respond, after which you will be allowed to cancel the trade and leave negative feedback, if you wish.

Honigbaum wrote:

I think because it's a rare card in "Portal".

Yes, that is exactly why.  In fact, it was also printed in Tempest as an uncommon, so it would make it through that filter, as well.  This is a known issue (I've seen posts about it before), though I don't know what, if anything, they plan to do about it.  Seems like it would be a simple job to split the Rarity filter into "Rarity Owned" and "Rarity Printed" just like the edition does, but I'm no programmer so maybe it's not as simple as all that.

+1

Pretty self-explanatory. I would like a way (or if this is already possible, I'd like to know how) to view all cards in my inventory that are not marked for trade in case, for example, I have cards that were set aside for a deck I've since given up on, this would let me go through and find them to mark as tradable.

I've seen it too, although I don't share quite your level of distaste for the new card page layout.  I do appreciate the quick at-a-glance indicator of what cards I have involved in incoming/outgoing trades.

IronMagus, I see what you're saying, but it is his responsibility to keep track of his side of the trade. The only reason I pointed out the rules is because he was breaking them. Deckbox only works if we all, as a community, adhere to the same rules.

Yes, he should have kept better track of his cards, and no, he shouldn't have finalized the trade without confirming he actually had them available.  But on the other hand, s--t happens, and we can't all of us be perfect, all of the time.  It was his responsibility to fulfill the agreement once he finalized the trade, and he did so, but you could also have just accepted something else of similar value in its place, or said "no harm, no foul" and agreed to just cancel the trade completely, presuming you hadn't sent your end yet either.  I'm not saying you should have done either of those, but you did have the option.  Perhaps by you bringing up the rules (implying, if not actually expressing the threat of a BTR and negative feedback, over what most would probably consider a pretty low-value trade in the first place) instead of offering up one of those other possible solutions, he felt you were bullying him into something he didn't want to do, even if that's just an extra trip to the card shop that he didn't plan on making.  Or, maybe he's just being a dick.  It's hard for any of us to say what another person's thoughts and motives are.

In the end, he was left dissatisfied by the overall trade experience, and that's what neutral feedbacks are for.  It doesn't affect your rating, you still have 100%...your trade score just didn't go up by a point.

When I pointed out that this was against Deckbox rule 2.1, he obtained another copy of the card. What I'd really like to know is, why did I receive a 0 for this?

Because he was displeased that he was forced to go out of his way to obtain another copy (presumably to avoid a BTR and negative feedback, since you were already "pointing out rules" to him), and leaving neutral feedback is at the user's discression.

I received cards today from a trade I had set up with another member.  Five cards, three top-loaders, and a bubble envelope.  All five cards are bent, in the same place.  All three toploaders are bent, in the same place as the cards.  And there's a crease in the bubble envelope what looks like it might have been lined up with the bends in the cards and toploaders while they were inside it.  And then, some of the cards I received from a different trade on the same day are also bent in a similar manner (except these other ones, the crease mark is vertical, not horizontal, and it didn't affect all of the cards from this shipment, and I don't see any definitive stress marks on the top-loaders, but considering it came in on the same day as the other trade, I'm willing to give both senders the benefit of the doubt.)

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say this is probably not the senders' faults, but rather the letter carrier was a little heavy-handed today, or else the sorting machines at my local post office are in need of a re-calibration.  According to the site's trading rules, the sender should not be held responsible in cases like this, which is understandable, I suppose, because it's really not their fault.  On the other hand, it's pretty disappointing to have received $65 worth of otherwise-NM cards which essentially have had their value slashed in half, through no fault of my own.

So what am I supposed to do in a situation like this?  I suppose "just eat the loss and get over it" is probably all you can tell me.  I guess maybe I'm just ranting more than anything, now.  I suppose there isn't much use in asking the post office for restitution, without any sort of insurance or anything.

[Edit: Whoops, maybe this belongs in somewhere other than the BTR forum -- I had come here and started typing it out when I thought the one guy had just sent me damaged cards, before I opened up the second envelope and found that they were both damaged in a similar way.]

I'm willing to trade with new members. On the other hand, I prefer to deal with someone who's likely to respond to my inquiries in a timely manner. This means that every. Single. Time I search for trading opportunities, the very first thing I do is switch the default options from 5 feedback required to zero, and from active in the last two weeks to within the last week. It would be super swell if I could just set this once, in my profile, and then have it default to my selected options instead of resetting to 5 feedback, two weeks every time.

Availability: total number of this card in active members' trade lists.
Tradability: total number of this card in active members' wish lists.

This information is (almost*) already available on the individual card pages, but having a nice sortable column in lists and inventories can make it easier to tell at-a-glance how easy or difficult it may be to move or acquire specific cards.

(*Almost, because that actually only shows you how many different people have or want the card, not necessarily how many of them are actually wanted/available.)

Isn't there one already?

Poor

A card in Poor condition has creases, rips, stains and is generally in horrible shape. The only guarantee is that you can still tell what it is.
