It's not that I don't like Rakdos, but rather that I'm still trying to figure out decent configurations myself.

One of the combos I'm interested in trying with this is to use the Cloudshift on Thragtusk to build life and tokens.

I know the enter the battlefield (etb) ability would trigger on it's return, but I am not sure about it's leaves the battlefield (ltb) ability. It seems logical that if the etb ability would trigger, then so would the ltb ability?

UPDATE: I checked Gatherer, and this is what it had for Rulings:

"7/1/2012     Thragtusk's second ability will trigger no matter what zone Thragtusk goes to."

A complete playset sells for over $1,200 on CoolStuffInc.com (http://www.coolstuffinc.com/main_displaySet.php?sectionSet=Magic%20the%20Gathering&setName=Return%20to%20Ravnica  -- you'll need to scroll down).

Yes, I've picked up Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle, plan to run Krenko, Mob Boss, and am looking at running mono-red with either Krenko or Ib Halfheart, Goblin Tactician as the commander.  Some very nice red cards out there.  I'm thinking of adding Street Spasm and Guttersnipe from RtR.

PocketBox?

Thanks for bumping this.  I thought it a very interesting topic when I first read it, but now that I have the cards to try it, I plan to do so!

In the "Detailed information about the [qty] [card]" screen, would it be possible to get the focus to stop on the "Edit" button after leaving the final field ([Language]) in the final row?

While doing manual detail entry via the keyboard, I currently need to click "Edit" with the mouse to complete each update.  If I could simply hit <Enter> or <Space Bar> after tabbing off the final [Language] field, it would make entry much easier.

Where: "Detailed information about the [qty] [card]" screen

What: When using a keyboard for manual entry, tabbing between fields, hitting the "A" key on the keyboard while in the Edition box causes the "+ Add Card" interface to open, and changes the focus to that interface (moving it off the "Detailed informatin about the [sty] [card]" box).

This happens only when tabbing into the Edition field.  Clicking in the Edition field expands the drop down list, so the letter "A" on the keyboard correctly selects "Avacyn Restored". [Note: you must tab three times from the Language field to place the focus at the Edition field.

Expected behavior: Typing the "A" character after tabbing into the Edition field of the "Detailed information about the [qty] [card]" screen should populate the Edition field with "Avacyn Restored" (or, eventuall, any other set name beginning with "A").

Thanks, Sebi (and Laura)!

Going into the prerelease, my gut feeling was that tribal decks would probably do well over the next four to six weeks, especially mono-colored ones, or those with only a splash of other colors.  The reason? Many people, itchy to try out all their new cards, will need time to work their decks into a good groove.  Tribal might give you an advantage at FNM or other events until the net decks start to appear.

Personally, I'm working on a goblin tribal deck... and a devils deck.

But you can apparently trade the die from them for like $6-8 each... FOR DICE!

I did: three for $20.

Configuration sent (for one Jace).

Ugh, now that really sucks.  At least you got to do the pre-release to hold you over!

I did the pre-release three times big_smile and that's why I need to wait until payday.  wink

Possibly.  I'm not terribly excited by anything I see on your tradelist, and since the total value for four is under $12, it's not as if I have leverage to get something of significant value.

Feel free to look through my tradelist, though.

I've heard that MSRP is $25, but I'm not sure if that was official or not.

That's what my LGS indicated is the MSRP, too. Rather than buying more of those, I'm going to drop a c-note for a booster box.

If he's doing this to his general, that would indeed make it hard to shuffle. It would probably be against the rules (maybe not officially (don't know commander rules as I don't play it), but some would oppose it)

So long as he has the actual card with him, he likely can use a proxy for the card and then swap out the 3D card once in play (the commander in the command zone).

I deleted posts where I had the ability to, but there are more places than not that I do not have that authority.

I just posted a reply in the Moderator Forum regarding that--our access does not appear to be site-wide.  I deleted four or so that I found, too.

Since Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord is a Legendary Creature, you can never have more than one of him out at a time.  Given that limitation, you can certainly cut one of him, and possibly two.

For only one more mana, you can get Zealous Conscripts instead of Traitorous Instinct.  The trade-off is Traitorous Instinct's +2 versus having an extra creature on the field.

You'll need to decide if you want to manage Treacherous Pit-Dweller: getting rid of it in favor of something else means you can also get rid of those cards you included so as to remove TP-D from your graveyard.

I like Cryptborn Horror, but believe it gets better with burn--that way it does not rely only on combat damage.

Since you are not running a lot of Rats, there's a good chance your Pack Rat stays a 2-drop 1/1. Blood Seeker and Highborn Ghoul might be decent options. I'm partial to Daggerdrome Imp (2-drop 1/1 with Lifelink and Flying). Rix Maadi Guildmage might prove useful, too.

If really wanting to get some cards in your graveyard, I'd focus on something that gives you removal at the same time, like Launch Party.  It was a game changer in many of the pre-release matches I watched (and was in) because it gives you removal for any creature of any size while also dinging your opponent's life total.

Of course, these are just my opinions.  In the end, you need to have a deck you enjoy playing, so take what you like and feel free to leave the rest.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with a trade.  Thank you for reaching out, and for not naming the other party in the public forum.  With mail trades, it can sometimes take more than two weeks for packages to be delivered (even if yours was delivered in two days!).  If more than three weeks have passed, or if your trading partner has will not reply to your messages, please send an email to support@deckbox.org with the details of the situation.

Normally, trade problems are resolved with negative ratings.  However, if it appears that your trade partner is scamming you, the admins will send him/her an email message asking for an explanation.  If no response is received, the admins have the option of flagging the user's profile.

If you have proof of delivery for your shipment, you may have options for recourse through your local post office.

Are you interested even if it is just the box and the letter/checklist (though not for the cards you mentioned, of course)?

If you were offering Huntsmaster for the box with the die, I would have jumped at it earlier.  As it stands now, I'm very close to finalizing a trade.  I'll enquire as to whether or not the other trader and I could agree on a price for just the other two dice (he does not want the boxes).

Id trade for the box but not a huntmaster, lol, feel free to set something up, standard only tho

The guy in the original Izzet stuff configuration knows the die is gone, but is still interested in the box.  I have a prop out to him.  If he does not take it, I will present one to you.

Thanks for your interest.

That trade did not work out.  I'll send a configuration.

Having seen how the populate mechanic works and the value of the 1/1 flying token, I've made some edits to the deck taking it away from soldiers and moving to spirits.  There are still a variety of other options for tokens with Call of the Conclave, Grove of the Guardian, and Garruk, Primal Hunter.

But I'm concerned with it sitting at 65 cards.  What should go here?

That aside, I'm actually thinking Curse of Exhaustion would be great to make its way into the maindeck as it would really help all the instances of populate to overwhelm the enemy (and who runs enchantment removal these days anyway?).

I realize there are likely strong opinions about flat-60 versus any other number, but I would say to go ahead and test at 65.  You can always make changes if it is not working the way you'd like it to.
