Can you fix this damned problem? It has been three months since it has been broken and you are refusing to fix it.

PLEASE!

Is the issue with the record compression that appeared when the tags were added being looked at?

I know it is an inconvenience at this point, but considering the only way of identifying the exact version of each card in your inventory on the individual cards pages or the card database is to mouse over either the set image, image box, or -- in only some cases -- a note and viewing the tip tool, it takes an increasingly long time to add cards into your inventory when you already have another copy of that card listed in your inventory. This is exacerbated when cards have multiple printing within a set (like say the Doctor Who commander set which has up to 4 version of every card) or cards that have printed into oblivion like basic lands. When you have hundreds of different versions of say an Island it can be torturous to go down an unsortable list to find the one record you are trying to update and hoping you picked the correct one over just adding the correct card to the top of the list and having the system compress it for you. The only other option would be to go to the Inventory and search of the card and filter out by version and foiling to get closer to what you are looking for but this is even more overhead to get to where we already were before this update.

When adding a new set of cards for the first time I just normally click add a new card a X of times for how many copies of I have and letting the system compress them into one record with X inventory since I know deckbox will default to the base version of the card (something I extremely thank you for) an then worry about other printings later. This surprisingly saves a LOT of time adding cards into the system over adding one row and updating the value which involves extra hand and mouse movements over the former. Ixialan is a month out at this point and it would be great if this issues could be reversed by then ... fingers crossed!

Would it be possible to have 2 separate filters with regards to color? A filter that looks specifically at the color of the cards (like the system was before this update) and a filter that looks at card identity? I really much preferred the previous way as it was how I sorted and organized my collection. The new system not only searches lands for color identity but all cards that have multiple color identies.

Yes ... this please.

Can we PLEASE get the commander cards that were in the promo packs for Streets of New Capenna? It has been over three months not and they are still not in the system. These are the ones I am missing I am sure there are others too:

Aven Courier (NCC-022) PW x1
Protection Racket (NCC-039) PW F x1
Waste Management (NCC-040) PW F x1

Either that or can you have it so the deprecated promo flag (or maybe a new flag I don't really care which) can be seen more clearly in the inventory/trade lists? I typically use the old promo flag for when a card is in the system, but that particular version in not in the system yet; like the cards listed above or prerelease promos before they are added and it helps me remember to fix them later on. Currently you can't see this flag when looking through lists, but if you could I could have something stated in my bio that anything with that flag may not be the true version which could help with facilitating trades more clearly.

Still seem to be missing the Commander Card from the promo pack for New Capenna. In particular I am missing these

Aven Courier (NCC-022) PW x1
Protection Racket (NCC-039) PW F x1
Waste Management (NCC-040) PW F x1

there seems to be quite a few issues with searching up cards from DMU ...

for instance any mono color card with different colored kickers are showing up when searching for cards with 2 or more colors. This is not consistent with the same concept in Planeshift which has similar cards and those correctly only will show up when searching for cards with 1 color.

Also when searching for cards for 0 colors only the reprint pain land and the Metrorite is show up in the search. None of the new artifacts or lands are showing up in this search.

Oh please don't. I don't want to see these bastardized cards when I do searches.

I've asked for this before (though in the inventory page), seconding.

You can do it in inventory already. Click the (E/#) of the details column and it will sort by Set and Edition Number.

Would it be possible to either add a Collectors Number to the Card Database page or do something about editions of cards?

Right now it is extremely annoying to try to add in card from non-standard sets because if the card is a reprint in a non-standard set the edition doesn't change on this page. The only true way to use the Card Database and sort by Collector's Number is to sort by Edition. This works fine for Standard sets (for the most part, a card here or there might not get the update tbh) because if things get added the edition changes so the cards are in numerical order. In say Double Master 2022, they don't.

When sorting by edition right now instead of seeing:
1. Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
2. Kozilek, Butcher of Truth
3. Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre

... like you should. You end up seeing:
1. Conclave Mentor
2. Capture Sphere
3. Dreamshaper Shaman

... because their editions are M21, Ikoria, and Theros Beyond Death respectively. Even a Standard Set isn't perfect. I mean if you search for Streets of New Capenna most of the cards are updated to the new set, but there are about a dozen or so that are still order sets, but they are at least towards ends. Like I am sure Islands were printing since Commander Legends, but it is better with the Standard sets.

The only other options is to use the Edition Page, but then you have to go to each individual card's page to edit each card, or try to do an import which, to be honest, really muffed up when I did my original set of Double Master cards and I had to go in an fix all of them anyway.

I have found that the Card Numbers on Scryfall for Limited Edition Alpha do not match up with the card numbers on Deckbox. I am assuming that this will be the case for more sets as well. Is this something that could get fixed?

The numbers with older sets never match up with Scryfall. Back in the day we used to number cards differently than wotc did when they added the collectors number and deckbox uses that old way. You can simulate it easily though Black > Blue > Green > Red > White > Gold > Artifact > Lands and each group in alphabetical order.

They are listed in their own set ... like you will see a Modern Horizons II Etched Foil set. There are only a handful of cards that I know of that don't really have a designation for etched foil when they should (Secret Lairs Guild Signets).

So apparently they are now adding Commander Cards to the FNM Promo Packs.

I just picked up a Aven Courier (NCC-022) with a PW stamp in my latest new Capenna Promo Pack.

Tahngarth, Talruum Hero's two cards have prices reversed. The expensive promo is listed at <$2 and the regular one is >$450

Good Day

We are still missing promo pack cards, prelease cards, and Double Sided Tokens from Streets of New Capenna. Also we are missing cards that are printed with the PW symbol on them from Crimson Vow. I know there were no specific promo packs from Crimson Vow, but cards from that set have been printed with PW symbols and placed in newer packs.

Also in Commander sets they have been adding a foiled heavy stock card for the face commander for a few sets now. The equivalent of the oversize cards from older Commander sets. Can you add these to the system? I have been many months now I have had these and have not been able to accurately add them to deckbox.

These are the things I specifically have and are not in the system. There are others like them.

Breena, the Demagogue - Face Commander Card x1
Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver - Face Commander Card x1
Zaffai, Thunder Conductor - Face Commander Card x1

Headless Rider - VOW PW card x1

Hoard Hauler - SNC PW card x1
Jaxis, the Troublemaker - SNC PW card x1
Spara's Headquarters - SNC PW card x1

Workshop Warchief - SNC Prelease Promo card x1

Orzhov Signet - Secret Lair Etched Foil Version x1

Spirit//Treasure - SNC 003T//017T (F) x1
Dog//Treasure - SNC 010T//017T (F) x1
Devil//Citizen - SNC 008T//012T (F) x1
Punch Card Token - SNC x5

You can use the csv import to add the cards to deckbox, however you will need a card name in order to use that successfully import the records. I tried without and it didn't work. If you have a list of names and collectors numbers and the csv is formatted like below you can import.

Count    Tradelist Count    Name    Edition    Card Number    Condition    Language    Foil    Signed    Artist Proof    Altered Art    Misprint    Promo    Textless    My Price
1    0    Ob Nixilis, the Adversary    Streets of New Capenna    206    Near Mint    English                                $0.00

Another option you have is you can do what I do and go to the card database, filter by the set, and then sort by edition. This will put the cards in close to "sort by collectors number" order, however some reprints won't be in order and will be towards the back of the list. You still would have to put these in manually however, but you won't need to search for a card manually by name and the next card in collectors numbers will be right below the one you just did.

There are a LOT of stuff still missing from the latest sets.

We are still missing:

  • The Art Cards from NEO

  • Double Faced Placeholder cards from VOW

  • Double Face Placeholder cards from NEO

  • Double Sided Tokens from NEO

  • PW Stamped cards from VOW

  • PW Stamped cards from NEO

There are only 512 cards in NEO. All of them appear to be accounted for.

Hi, it appears you have a card that doesn't exist in your database

Flame Sweep should only have 2 versions the normal and the promo version with the special frame.
It appears Promo Pack: Core Set 2020 (Card #59) is the one that doesn't exist.

Well ... right now the Unlimited edition Black Lotus is listed at about $12k on deckbox. If you were seeing it at $6K when you made the post it would seem that the price is already recovering. If anything the $20k you were seeing was still very high, I don't see any indication it should have been that much for that card anytime recently. Again there have been some wonky stuff going on with the price of the card over multiple platforms recently so I the fluctuation seems expected.

Hi. Have you made another price fix this January? I experienced a huge drop in overall collection value after your fix in December and it seemed much more accurate after this fix. But I have experienced another huge drop here in January as well which seems too steep for normal price fluctuations. So, I was just wondering?

Edit: It seems this January drop is related to the price of the UNL Black Lotus which has dropped significantly in value.

So I am not gonna lie. I added a Lotus to my collection to see what the price is listed and then I went to go see my collection's price and I was like "what happened, how is my collection over by $12k all of a sudden?" roll

Anywho my collection price seems accurate as it is only off by about $500 from TCG market which for 46k cards is well within fault tolerance.

The problem cards like Black Lotus is that they rarely sell so a price is extremely volatile in general. If you go to TCGplayer right now you can see there have only been 2 recent sales one for $500 ( god bless that gamble sir ... o7 ) and one for $15,399.99. That is not a lot of price points to determine a price.

Honestly the price history of an Unlimited Lotus it is weird in general. https://www.tcgplayer.com/product/8989/ … ge=English

If you look at the chart and change the time period the chart stays pretty much the same ups and down, but the numbers actually don't match up. Like if you go to 1M and mouse over from 12/22 to 1/7 you have a steady price of $9750 for each day, but if you mouse over 3M chart and mouse over from "12/19 to 12/21" the average for those days is $15,399.99 which it isn't possible if each of those days have an average of $9750 then the three day period would have the same average. That is just how math works.

Either way nothing explains the drop in market price last week. The official market price for a Unlimited edition Black Lotus on TCGPlayer was listed as $500 last Tuesday and Wednesday which is odd since the only other $500 sale was in November and the other sale was in December they both should have been effecting the market price in January. There have been no sales since then. That $500 sales should have effected the market price in November, but 3M chart shows a decline before the sale and the sale happened in the middle of a steep increase which makes no sense.

Sorry that was a tangent I didn't mean to do on, but true to my point without a lot of sales it is difficult to find a price point (and I think TCG player is being very deceptive here if I am going to be honest). If I had to take a wild speculative guess deckbox might have picked up on the price decrease last week. We don't know how deckbox gets its prices so we can't say for sure nor do we know how often things are fully updated. I guess this dip was put into whatever calculations happen and that is what you are seeing. MTGGoldfish (they use TGCMid) even has two valley in their price on 1/9 and 1/14. So something happened and it should be back soon I would guess

Should the price also include as a minimum the buylist price of a bunch of places?

As an example at my lgs Distracting Geist // Clever Distraction
I can buy it between 0,25$ and 0,40$
Their buylist is at 0,03$ in cash and 0,04$ in credit

TCG market price is at 0,02$

Since I can make more money selling it for the buylist price  than the market price the market price should be higher.

I am not sure I follow you here so I might be reading this wrong, but are you suggesting that price on deckbox should be higher because your local store will buy a card for more than what deckbox has it listed as?
