Goldfished this against Sneak & Show for a bit just now. Lost 2 games due to the basic swamp not just being a 3rd U. Sea. There was a spot where I had exact mana to Corpse Dance, activate Magus for 4, with a land drop for turn left. A blue land and another Dance/Shallow Grave off the top lets me activate Magus again... I flip a Dance... and the swamp and lose. I forget the specifics of the other instance except I think it involved not being able to cast Mission Briefing because of the swamp.

    Yeah, upon further thought, I think the 4th preordain is likely just better than Mission Briefing. Keeps your mana and color requirements lower.
    
    I don't think you can play lands off of Magus activations though - I think it's just spells?

      The templating is "play cards" so it should include lands!
