Notes
As of June 1st, 2020: This deck has gone through several iterations recently, and the most recent version, which includes many new cards, is barely recognizable compared to this. Subsequently I will be listing that separately, and possibly even giving it a different name.
Regardless, I don't think this ever was stable enough to be considered version 1.0.0. Since it drew from the last version (0.4.3), considering it instead to simply be 0.5.0. But if I ever make a version 0.6.0 or greater, it will probably be closer to what 0.4.3 was, but with some of the sensibilities of this version (such as more lands).
---
As of May 20th, 2020, making some changes based on my experiences. I may make that a separate deck so this version can remain intact.
---
Jhoira, take two! As with the original version, this deck was built completely from scratch using cards I purchased or already owned.
If this works well, considering it version "1.0.0".
Must make some changes to this deck to allow it to properly shine.
Much more mana generation is required. Too often do I get stuck in the early game, unable to do anything.
More board wipes (even just Devastation Tide!) are needed. I am able to plan for them, and as it stands I don't get them often enough.
I think that, for my heavy hitters, I would like to focus more on Dragons, for a more coherent theme (Jhoira is from Shiv, after all). This would make Dragonstorm even more effective when I do get to use it. I know most people use Eldrazi and the colossi (e.g. Blightsteel Colossus), but there is just no flavor in that in my opinion... still, since I would prefer not to get too many new cards at this time, I may be limited there.
I also need more cheap (1, 2, and a few 3 cost) creatures for the early game, ideally ones that can block a lot of damage, or who evolve into more powerful creatures as time goes on.
Finally, I need as many cards as reasonable that can get me extra turns!
General notes:
Minimum number of mana-generating lands: 36
Minimum number of mana-generating artifacts/creatures: 7
