Notes
Styles: Midrange
Tribes: Fungus | Plant | Saproling
Strats: Swarm | Aristocrats
Power: 6-7
As an organic embodiement of entropy, Slimefoot represents the cycle of life and the bounty of death. This deck focuses on creating an endless supply of Saproling tokens, then sacrificing those Saprolings to generate value
Spore Counters:
Many of the Fungi in this deck generate Spore Counters at the beginning of each turn. These counters can be used to create Saproling tokens for many value engines. A few key cards also synergize with Spore Counters for additional gains
Sacrificing Saprolings:
You should have no problem finding something to do with your many new Saproling tokens, aside from just using them to protect your face! Many of the same Fungi who create Saprolings also provide an outlet to sacrifice for value, and dont forget that each time you do this with your commander on the board you will deal damage and gain life!
Ashnod's Altar & Doubling Season:
Doubling Season doubles the number of Saprolings being produced and the number of Spore counters being placed on Fungi each turn. Combined with Ashnod's Altar, which allows you to sacrifice creatures for 2 colorless mana, these cards enable Slimefoot's activated ability to go infinite - pinging your opponents to death at Instant speed unless they can remove one of the combo pieces!
Nyxbloom Ancient & Life and Limb:
Life and Limb makes it so that each of your Saprolings counts as a Forest, and vice versa. Nyxbloom Ancient adds to this by tripling the amount of mana produced by tapped permanents
Sporemound & Life and Limb:
Warning: Playing these cards together creates an endless loop of a Saproling entering the field, being counted as a Forest, and triggering Sporemound to produce another Saproling. This can cause the game to end in a draw unless you or an opponenet have a removal spell in hand. Try abusing this trick to create infinite Saproling tokens before swinging for the win!
