Notes

LWW
I think this matchup felt closer than it was. The game I lost hinged on one card (though actually, so did game three. if I didn't have the the wolverine I'd have been desperately trying to keep things suppressed until I found another creature). Maybe this is just what playing red feels like.

I last second sided out Anticipate for Cathartic Reunion and it did exactly what I needed it to, allow me to dump the Ultimatum if I got it too early. CR is a scary card for me, but it makes a lot of sense in this deck. It nearly single handedly turned on my wolverine, swapped three cards I didn't need for three new ones, and if Ominous Seas was out, would have gotten me crazy close to an 8/8 way too early to be fair.

Cycling is dangerously good. Facet Reader would be super nice to have to dump lands when you get too many of those, but I never drew him.

Even with all this cycling, it was a liiiiitle scary to be this creature light. Most of my control and damage didn't need creatures but some did. And I often felt I needed a body out there to make combat trick threats look possible.

All in all, very fun.
