I wanted to use more of the "Level-Up" creatures, but some of them are underpowered or too costly to bring out. This deck focuses on bringing out Doubling Season, keeping it on the board if possible, then dropping planeswalkers and level up characters with double counters. The extra elves in the deck are for mana ramp and synergy with Joraga Treespeaker's ability. Protogenitus was perhaps not the best leader, but it made me think back to table-top D&D leveling up to get to fight Tiamat.
