If you are in dire need of multiple proxies and you don't want to write them out, go to http://magiccards.info/

There is a link on each card's page for 1, 2, 3, or 4 proxies. Wouldn't hurt to have this as a site feature here.

However, for the purposes of testing versus competitive decks, here is what I used to do: Get a 12 pack of colored pencils or markers that don't smudge, and a pack of 3x5 index cards. Print up your decklists for the decks you want to run against, and split the 3x5 cards so that they be come 3x2.5. Then, simply write the card names on the index cards, one per card, one color per cardlist, until you are done. Lastly, sleeve them with a backwards land or something, and then you have a pile of 60 cards that represents anywhere from 3 to 8 decks for solo playtesting.

This is beginning to tie into the sub-inventory feature that is being worked on.

I lean more toward using the set abbreviations. If I'm not mistaken, they are unique to each edition.

1 'A' Fireball
4 'DS' Fireball
4 '7th' Fireball
20 'M10' Fireball
4 'MM' Counterspell
8 'ZEN' Arid Mesa

I'm sure there is a table somewhere on the interwebs that would detail all abbreviations. On the other hand, there is no reason to not use abbreviations and long spellings.

Don't feel too bad Sebi, I still have to ask what the cards do that are printed in my native language.

That's really it. I remember registering so long ago that we barely had triple digits. Now we are into the meaningful quad digit territory.

A testament to the hard work of a certain somebody, who will surely accept the praise with more humility than needed.

Thanks Sebi, and keep it up!

Well, sorry you aren't so exited. Honestly, I don't even give standard a thought when I see new sets anymore. I really only play limited, extended, legacy, Pauper, Planechase, Archenemy, Emperor or EDH. Looks like a whole bunch of cards for EDH to me, and the return of some awful affinity deck for standard. To be a little blunt, standard decks are "built" by Wizards design, and there is little if any room for unique ideas.

Also, it came so quickly this time because it isn't an OFFICIAL spoiler. Some of the cards could be up to 50% wrong, as they are wrested from the clutches of the orb, twitter and rumors. Most of them are reliable though, especially when you look at their track record.

Early this morning, our friends at MTGSalvation finished spoiling the newest set.

And:

IT LOOKS AMAZING.

As a member of some other forums where the members can be very blunt and shrewd (borderline hostile at times), I must say that I only agree with a "thumbs-up" or "like" feature. I haven't had time to see how the commenting is going here, although I am reasonably sure that it is civil and constructive.

I feel that it is only appropriate to comment on someone's deck (especially if it is a rogue build for the format), if you have something nice and/or constructive to say. I see no need to ever give a deck a rating of one or two stars out of five.

However, I think that it may be a good feature to include for the user to rate their own deck's effectiveness with a star ranking. Not a required feature mind you, but another bell/whistle.

+1 this suggestion.

Having a smaller card pool makes me a little unhappy. Losing the Kamigawa block however, makes me smile.

Strongbox is awfully funny and flavorful. Can't wait to put that in my artifact EDH with Rings of Brighthearth. Can you say Krark's Thumb deck?

In our shop, the wackier games usually are the ones we have the most fun with. Most of the time we are tired/bored of FNM, Type 2 in general and plain old drafting. We have been known to just put random packs from 8 different sets in a bag and draft that way. Ever tried Coldsnap with Saviours of Kamigawa and UnHinged?

Archenemy sounds like a great game to play with two arch-decks and six players in a Emperor style match. It at least sounds like a really fun/broken time.

I have a planechase deck that we ocassionally use to mix-up our EDH games. I could see also having and Archenemy deck for the same purpose. Possibly even playing both at the same time??? This is madness!

I had a similar problem a while back, and thought it was a resolved bug.

I think I have now what I needed. Testing with this post.

Yep, that is exactly what I wanted. Thanks much as usual!

Most players of card games I am aware of have one "home store". I take a lot of pride in mine.

It would be nice if there was a way to promote their store in some small way on their profile with a logo and a link. Most players play at smaller stores that don't advertise or create pricing lists/api's for the internets, and it would be a good way for these smaller stores to get a little rep. For example, if I were to ever find myself in Romania looking to draft, I'd prefer to play with Sebi and Laura than some random scrubs.

Just figured out that I can make a Signature for this forum. <:P I'm testing it now.

After playing with sigs, there is no way to add an image as a hyperlink, or any image for that matter. I think my request would be satisfied if I could add a hyperlink image to the store's website to my signature. Preferably, it would be a small banner with a static url so that the store could change their banner image at will, and the signature will change seemlessly. If adding an outside image is a problem, then would it be possible for you to add a store and a logo to your profile and have it generate a forum signature?

I realize that some of this request may be beyond your control, but just let me know what (if anything) I can do for you.

Thankfully, Epic and Spoils aren't  MTG sized yet. I'd need a bigger office.

Perhaps a Dropdown list of places to gather prices would be best, so that people can use whichever sites they deem most reliable.

Not to hijack the thread, but Google Chrome 'translated' the page for me:

Me is curious if one Karn also appear in the story / set

Reprint form as Karn, Silver Golem that's for sure not appear on the reserved list . Only if you restore as planeswalker ...

I lol'd.

Blue wishes for card advantage like this. Pretty strong, considering Harmonize was a Sorcery of the same cost and didn't gain you life.

I believe that is on the list already. Sebi will likely reply here with an update.

Gotta say, that Sarkhan lines right up into my Scion of the Ur-Dragon EDH. Five mana, win game. Shame he can't tick up without some serious help though. He coulda ticked up one in his first ability with no great change in balance, but whatever. I'll still need at least one.

So far, vast improvement. I'm sure someone will extensively test this, but for now I think we have a winner.
