Suggestions welcome on what would help sellers to easier price inventories.

I think Sebi may be sick of me suggesting this but I thought I'd post my idea here so other users can expand on it: Mass editing. The Mass Price Cards (Price All under the Tools option) was added a while ago after some discussion but it is not as extensive as I had hoped. It would be better for the user to just use the trade page to mass edit prices instead of a little pop up window.

In order for mass editing to be effective, card condition and price range (user input) filters need to be added. Allow us to use the current search and filter system to get the group of cards that we want to price. Then allow us to apply an absolute number or percentage of Deckbox's value to that group of cards.

For example, I would be able to filter my cards to show all the NM rares I have - between whichever value range I wish - and mass price them at 90% of Deckbox's value. I would then be able to do that for the LP rares and price them at 80%, MP at 70%, etc. I could even choose to apply this for the modern rares and apply a different percentage to standard rares.

Using the current filtering system - with the addition of the suggested filters - to mass edit cards would allow each user to use the tool to apply price percentages (or absolute number) to whichever filter group they wish. Foils, promos, any rarities, editions, conditions, etc.

I think a lot of times when people react strongly to Deckbox updates, it may not necessarily be the updates themselves but how they are introduced. For a tool that many people use everyday, big sudden changes will almost always be met with resistance.

PucaTrade recently made some big changes involving international trades. They are reserving international trading for Uncommon and Rare tier members only. The difference is that they raised the conversation in a podcast, received lots of feedback from their users, and then they sent out a mass email letting everyone know ahead of time when the changes will take place. This allowed their users to make whatever preparations they needed to make for a smoother transition.

Under email notifications, I've always had the box next to "I want to receive Deckbox newsletters" checked. I've been using Deckbox for years and have never received a single email regarding Deckbox updates or changes. I think this may be one of the things that users would appreciate. A little warning could go a long way.

I suggest taking it to your LGS and have them inspect it as soon as possible. If you still suspect that the card may be fake, you should inform your trade partner and ask how he'd like to proceed. You may undo the trade and have both parties send all their cards back or send back the one Tropical Island and the appropriate counterpart.

I suggest taking it to your local post office to see if there's anything they can do. Unfortunately, Deckbox policies do not cover any damage done by postal services and I haven't been able to find any information online regarding compensation without any insurance.

Thanks for the reply, Sebi!

I noticed that Sebi has not commented on this and I've encountered this issue more than I'd like.

For example, recently I agreed to a trade with a new user with zero feedback. I asked him to send first and he agreed. So from now until I receive his cards (and send out my side), the cards that I already agreed to trade to him are still sitting in my tradelist ready to be sold at any moment. For now, the work around is to manually remove the cards or to hit the "I have sent the cards" option prematurely to automatically remove the cards. Neither option is really desirable. I strongly urge Deckbox to correct this as it presents potential inventory errors for users that both sell and trade.

When exporting large collections, it indicates "Waiting for deckbox.org..." and eventually just stops. I've tried on multiple computers with different browsers. I've alerted Sebi when I noticed this issue and he informed me that it was a performance issue. He said the current export code is apparently too slow for big inventories. But that was over a month ago and I have not been able to back up my inventory since. I'd really appreciate some attention to this issue. Thank you!

Moved to Site Feedback and Discussion since it's not a BTR.

Here is the exact explanation I had received:

There is an issue with this still I think. We will soon be working on the promised inventory improvements, so people can have multiple "boxes" for their inventory, so they can better organize things and indicate where each card actually resides in real life. This will ease access to those cards when they need to take them out, etc.

An issue is that if we have that system, when one accepts a trade or a buyer makes a purchase, if we remove the cards from the sellers inventory, he will actually not be able to say "well now let's see where this card is in real life, so I can ship it", because it's not listed anymore in any of the "sub-inventories", as we removed it when the order was placed.

This was two months ago so their views may have changed since then. But honestly, I also find this a bit strange - especially when the same consideration is not given to orders. Cards are removed from your lists as soon as a buyer pays and before you ship. Personally, I prefer consistency amongst trades and orders. Maybe if more users request this change, it would be considered more.

I've suggested to the Deckbox Team in the past that cards be removed from lists (inventory, trade list, and wish list) when a trade is accepted/confirmed. I believe that would make more sense - especially since adding the marketplace. Currently, between the time that you accept the trade and the time that you send the cards, anyone can purchase those said cards. Since buyers are permitted to leave negative feedback when a seller cancels an order, it seems like an unnecessary risk for users that both trade and sell. It was explained to me that there are users who prefer it the way it is now and I have not heard anymore on the subject.

Selling cards on Deckbox now should use the Deckbox Market - more information on how to become a seller is available on the Selling Cards help page.

Cancelling orders due to spikes is by no means encouraged by the site. When cases like this occur, the buyer gets a full refund and is allowed to leave negative feedback to warn other buyers of suspect behaviors. Is that not enough?

I've moved this topic here so it can be openly discussed. This is regarding cases such as this BTR: https://deckbox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=21428

I think this is a good idea for the most part. I list conditions on all my cards except for majority of commons. I have several tens of thousands of commons for sale at $0.05 each. If I were required to list accurate conditions for each of these, I would probably be forced to just take them off the market.

Great updates again!

Would be possible to disable the alphabetizing or better yet, sort by edition instead?

I also sort my collection by edition. If it was sorted by edition (chronologically) then alphabetical, that would be ideal for me.

The problem is that when you have 1 M12 Ponder and 3 LP Foil M11 Ponder, if you edit a wishlist count for the row with the LP Foil M11 one, does that mean that you want one with exactly those properties?

I would assume, yes. I see that there's a "Relaxed matching" and "Strict matching" option when going to users' profiles - so maybe that can be used to help its functionality.

I prefer to use the keyboard and will not use the mouse if I don't have to. This suggestion could speed up my process significantly. Also, can we edit the wishlist column like the inventory and tradelist column? Right now it opens another window and adds more clicks to the process. Ideally, I could just tab to it and type in the number I want.
