Thank you for continuing to update and clean up the site. However i am not a fan of the toggle at all. Is it possible to make it an option on the settings page to have the toggle as default?

I love the trade cleanup update! Will canceled and completed trades with unread messages show separately as well?

Yes, whatever trade has unread comments will be on top of the page.

There's one more thing I forgot that was requested, to show feedbacks that a user left, or highlight the trades where feedback can be still left. Have it written down for next week.

Reminder about adding a section where we can put in the tracking number.

The promos are now in a single promos edition, not split into "Media Inserts", "Launch Parties", etc, as those were getting already unwieldy and confusing.

Thank you so very much! that was so annoying. these kinds of improvements are why i love coming to this site and recommending it to everyone i know!

in the editions section, the arts are out of order. chillerpiller is card 1. i am guessing all the rest are out of order as well. Also as far as the double sided tokens go, they all do not have the same card on the other side. For instance i have 7 Elephant tokens with 3 having soldier on the other side, 2 have elemental #8, 1 goblin and one with shapeshifter.

Neat feature and useful too. I am having issues with the Add from Inventory checkbox when adding cards to the deck though. When toggled on the cards that appear are limited to my inventory but not all of the cards I have in my inventory. Since I have cards that span use in multiple decks it seems that once I have used all the cards I have in inventory the drop down doesn't populate with cards I have used in other decks. This might be how the feature works but I for one would appreciate if it would allow me to search my entire inventory, whether they are in built decks or deck ideas or not.

I havent tested it out yet but i do know that there is an option to share cards between decks. perhaps you need to check that box?

Any chance this would be available for trades as well?

Would be doable, but less useful I think since sadly we don't save the card prices as they were at the time the trade was made.

Which would also be awesome if it were possible.

One thing that I do, though, is to periodically go back and look at trades that were usually made at even-value, and see which trades I've done well on and which I haven't. If we could manually export historical trades at current prices, then like, say, once a month, we could see which trades were going up or down in relative value. Not sure if anyone else does that though. I try to look at my historical trades to learn about future trends. and to sometimes smack my head for being dumb smile

+1
I actually would like the option to search past trades as well to find out who I sent that card to or picked a card up from.

I have changed the behaviour of matching cards with regards to the foil flag in trading opportunities, and in the "Matching Cards" section displayed when visiting a users profile.

It is now strict, meaning if I have a Mountain in my wishlist with no Foil set, and userB has one in his tradelist, with foil set, it will not match us.

I think this matches the way that most users use the website, and was requested quite a few times. I am still thinking if this should also be applied to all the other flags (artist proof, signed, altered, misprint). The downside would be that it will be harder for people to find you are trading away a card they want that is signed, unless they specifically indicate in their wishlist that they want a signed version....

What do you guys think?

Thanks Sebi, I know for one I have been asking for this a long long time. My thoughts are that if they are ok with a signed version, they can turn strict matching off to find it.

Could you check now? Should be fixed.

It is working now. the only thing I see that is odd is that it show 2/15 for my unlimited lightning bolts however I only have 2 in my inventory for that set. pretty sure the 15 is all printings. not sure if that was intentional or not but personally id rather it show 2/2.

Also when I "add a new line" it doesn't split the total number, it adds an additional card to my deck. i.e. add one new line for lightning bolt now there are 5 in my deck. can that be resolved?

Thanks for getting this in!

Also, unrelated, but is the ability to handle the Unstable variant cards still on the radar?

Yes please, this is making it hard to keep track of collecting a full set!

Sebi told me the unstable variants should be in right after the deck list upgrade.

I am trying to use this feature and I am getting an error stating it is only for premium members. well I am a premium member and in the alpha it shows I am but it still wont let me do anything sad

however when you first posted this, I was able to use it.

I guess what I would expect it to do is recognize that I have two different copies of the same card, and instead of trying to default both to the same LP card, it would add another line with the NM as well.  Or in a better example, recognize that I have 4 different Lightning Bolts and not tell me that I need to buy more of the lowest costing one I own, and instead see that I own 4 different copies without me having to add a line for each manually. I hope that makes sense and honestly I'm fine with adding lines manually if that's the best way to do it.

Seems easier to just manually add the cards using the Edit button instead of trying to mass calculate the value of the decks using the pricing tool IMO

The only thing with this is that I have 15 Cavern of Souls in 4 different decks with 3 different versions. (foil mm3, mm3, and avr). I want to make sure I know which version is in which deck.

Also I agree about expanding the column so that the foil pic is visible.
Finally while we are talking about decks, when I am creating a new deck and adding cards to the mainboard, I have to click back into the box after I add each card. while in the SB I do not. I would love to not have to do that in the MB.

Thank you Sebi the prices have been updated. however, the token prices still are not. And while I am at it, the marit lage token from FTV: Lore has no price.

Sebi, do you know when the prices are going to show up? its been 4 days and they are all still listed as n/a

How long before the prices usually show up?

* Fixed the edition sorting issue in collections, where it was sorting by edition ascending and collectors number descending. There are now 2 options, one to sort by "edition, rarity, number" and the other one sorts by "edition, collectors number".

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

that is all.

love this feature!

ok I am going to comment based on what I am reading as I read it so if it get jumbled, I apologize.

First, I don't like the dollar limit on any tier. I think perhaps a limit on the active number of trades is a good idea. if a new trader has a goyf and wants my cards, I don't think it is fair to prevent that. the tracking and sending first helps prevent scammers at first.

second, I like the idea of enforcing the person with fewer confirmed trades to send first. However, if an experienced user is not doing this already, shame on them. I have only had one problem with a new user and I feel bad for him, however he chose not to use tracking and did improper packaging so it's not my problem. I do disagree with making it a lower sends first in all cases. I am close to 400 trades now and why would I want someone with 300 trades at 100% positive feedback to send first. doesn't make sense. I think there should be a cap at tier 1 as 20 trades and tier 2 as 50 trades.

third, having a credit card on file is not an option for me. I use paypal expressly for that reason. there have been way too many security breaches to start giving out my credit card number to every site I use.

forth @Zyron, I personally have 2 accounts. I manage them for different purposes and also (before premium) traded to myself to move cards from one account to the other. I also have noted on my profiles that the other account exists. If someone was to try to do some shady things by "trading" between accounts they created, that is of course a bad thing. I personally check the references for anyone under 30 confirmed trades to see who they have been trading with to ensure nothing shady is going on. I also check the "member since" to see if the shady things mentioned above could be happening.

fifth, if anyone is doing a thousand dollar+ trade and are not using a third party for the exchange or meeting in a populated place, then sucks to be you. this only makes good trading sense. many local gaming stores are happy to do the exchange. I see comment about a mediator. I for one think that is a great idea. this site could leverage willing traders with high trades counts as mediators for high value trades. there would be extra expense (to the senders buy sending postage value to the mediator's paypal) and time delays but as long as the mediator is verified through their address and paypal, this is a great alternative.

sixth @Amurpcs, stopping new users from selling is not a good business idea. the fact that sebi enforces people to use paypal, adds the security that is needed for buyers. they can do a chargeback through ebay if needed.

seventh @AuspSqueeky, always leave accurate feedback even if it is negative/neutral. if your trading partner does leave retaliatory feedback, open a ticket and sebi will reverse it. I have had experience with this. dude was pissed because I wouldn't take a different edition of the card worth 25% less than what he promised. left me negative feedback saying "trader is too picky". sebi reversed it to neutral feedback which is appropriate. Although sebi, I have asked in the past and would like to state it again. keeping feedback hidden until both parties have left it, is a wonderful idea!

eighth, I like TechnicolorMage's idea on expanding the feedback option. I have to say that at least 1/3 of my trades have come in with a problem (ie wrong set, bad condition, missing card, etc). most traders are very quickly fix the problem but sometimes it isn't worth the hassle for a 10c card. for those of us who have collections of playsets this would be a great way to give a lower score for the issue but still leave positive feedback.

ninth @sidewayzracer/Amurphcs, buyer feedback is a decent idea. ebay does it and it shows that you are active on the site like Amurphcs states and not some inactive scammer. perhaps not even feedback but just a tally of how many purchases you have made through the site.

tenth, I talked about it above but I cant find it now. I think that limiting new users to current trades in route is a better idea than a dollar cap. I think that 3 is too low though and that 10 would be my max until they hit the next tier.

tenth @sebi, I think this site is amazing and I consistently tell everyone at my LGS how awesome it is! thank you for an RFC on such a big issue as this.

hey sebi, i dont see the extras for Oath in the edition checklist. am i missing it?

not sure if this is due to the updates but i keep getting logged out when i change areas on the site. ie from wishlist to tradelist etc.

Howdy Sebi,

I love these features. As for some of the comments, i would love the ability to list my sealed product in my inventory. right now i have to just add one of each via the edition checklist and that gets a bit confusing. I would also love to trade away and trade for sealed product. Although my thought would be that it may be difficult to add a price for the product. most of the sealed product (except booster packs and boxes) dont really have a going rate except ebay prices. we could add what we value it at (like when we list to sell them) then it could be negotiated between the trade partners.

I agree with those above. this is an awesome feature and I will use it often. Often have I wanted something like this!

also I don't know if it was intended or not but the strict matching feature seems to be working much better than before. took one match up from 100 pages of stuff I probably didn't want to 40 pages that I did want big_smile (yes my wishlist is that big).

When i buy cards, does it remove them from my wishlist like tradeing?

howdy Sebi,

This brings up a question i have been wanting to ask for a while. Any plans on adding an option for sealed product? as a collector i am looking for sealed product and would love to be able to add that to my wishlist and/or inventory.

Keep up the good work!

sebi is already aware of this.

First of all a BIG THANK YOU! for posting this. This is the type of upfront communication we are all wanting!

    Others

    - disputes on card condition will have slightly lower priority, but will be treated as well, as we have until now.

    - negative feedback is felt as being too rarely given on the site, and many users are reluctant to open a case for it so they just let it go. This decreases the importance of feedback, and just splits everyone in 3 categories: scammers, suspended users, and all the rest. This makes the feedback system much less effective than it should be.
    - for the above reason, I propose to allow users to leave negative feedback without the need of a dispute / report.
    - a dispute can be opened though in case one feels he has received undeserved negative. We will moderate these and allow it or nullify it.
    - all disputes will be private and only seen by users, administrators and site volunteers if they wish to help. BTRs being public seems to have the bad effect that some people have their names needlessly dragged into public scandals, even if they did not deserve it.

    - trade pages will allow a second "private feedback" to be left after a trade. this will only be seen by the moderators and site admins, and will help with decision making in disputes. people will easier leave hidden feedbacks when they are not public and do not have to deal with possible retaliations and scandals.

second thing: i love that you are doing this. however i would like to make a small suggestion as you implement this. This has been suggested in some of the forums and i think it is a great idea. Would you make the feedback private until both parties have submitted it. I currrently have a trade where i am not willing to submit feedback for fear of the user giving me bad feedback in retaliation. this user sent me the wrong card twice and then shrugged it off saying "the prices will stabilize in a few months". this is not acceptible to me but i didnt want to raise a big fuss about it except by leaving negative feedback.

Keep up the good work!
