There is a language column. Colum H in the picture below.
https://jmp.sh/188yXinH+/Screen+Shot+2023-10-27+at+12.28.50+PM.png

You will need to add the card name and details in English, then set the language to the correct name in that column.

Hey Completionists,

Looking for help with some Shock & Fetch Swaps:

I've got a number of Shocks and Fetches in my trade list - I'm saving these to trade into missing lands from this list:

https://deckbox.org/sets/1462937?f=335! … 84.590!634

If you want to help, I'd like to keep the Shocks and Fetchs to use for these trades, but if you are looking for other things I have or want to trade into my Fetch/shock wants but want to pad with other value - I'm totally here for it.

Hi All,

My name is Chad and I've completed over 500 trades on the platform including some large value and quantity trades.

Mostly I'm working on a non-foil set completion, so if you're ever looking to trade up some non-foils or have no affinity to specific printings and want to help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Right now, I've got two "Projects"

Shock & Fetch Swaps:

I've got a number of Shocks and Fetches in my trade list - I'm saving these to trade into missing lands from this list:
https://deckbox.org/sets/1462937?f=335! … 84.590!634

If you want to help, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Sealed Product for Trade:

I also have the Following Sealed Secret Lairs and Product I'm happy to include in any trade at reasonable TCG or comparable value.  If we have a big trade I'll cover shipping.  If you're not sending much, I may ask for some additional value for the shipping difference.

Secret Lairs:
More Adventures in Middle Earth
Showcase: Strixhaven (Foil)
The Full-Text Lands (Foil)
Artist Series: Sam Burley
Draw Your Hand
Phyrexian Faves
The 90's Binder Experience
Ssssssssnakessssss

Sealed Boxes:
Dominaria (Original Set - Draft)
Dominaria United (Set Booster)
Dominaria United Jumpstart
New Capenna (Set Booster) x 5

Commander Precons:
Kaldheim - Phantom Premonitions (WU)
Kaldheim - Elven Empire (BG)
Dominaria United - Painbow (WUBRG)
Dominaria United - LEgend's Legacy (RBW)

I'll gladly take value at 10% off TCG Market in needed singles for these.

Cheers!

I'm trying to use the new tagging function to help keep track of locations for cards, especially my trades in my Trade Binder.

As you proposed, I took inventory where I had a specific card.  In this case Fabled Passage of which I have two copies of the original ELD printing, one for the collection, one for trade.

I split that inventory into two entries and tagged one as Trade Binder.

When I or anyone else trying to add the copy for trade, they cannot see it when entering the card name in the trade window.  Even when going into the card inventory changer, you can't tell which copy has been tagged.

Here's a recording showing what I mean:

https://jmp.sh/3wn8M5ia+/GIF+Recording+2023-10-25+at+10.18.25+AM.gif

In theory, we really should have a beter way of showing tags throughout the trade process: in the add card and change card screens, as well as the trade window itself.  It would also help to have a better way of showing which iterations are the for trade and which are the not for trade when other people are trying to add.

Additionally, I'd like to draw attention again to the fact that once a trade is accepted the tags disappear.  If more people begin using tags as a way of marking where inventory is, we need a way to keep that information available until the trade is sent.  Having it keep the tags after the trade is agreed, but atleast until the other person receives would be ideal.

Thanks!

I tried the save Bookmark feature in wishlist and got an error.

This is the URL for the list:
https://deckbox.org/sets/1462937?f=c371 … 7RhOyJ1JEw

When you go to save it you get the naming modal window.

When you hit save it boots you to home with the error:

Server Error. Cannot display page.

You'll just have to move the columns over from one to the other.

I'll walk you through what I'd do.

First, go get the export from other site you want. LEt's call that SourceCSV (SCSV)

Then, download the CSV for Deckbox. (DBCSV)

Unfortunately, access to the template and documentation aren't great right now, so here's access to download a relatively blank Template to drag stuff over from:

Google Drvie CSV File

Next, understand the fields you're moving over to on the DBCSV.
Here's some basics you need to know:
https://jmp.sh/oRbhS6YE+/Screen+Shot+2023-10-01+at+4.11.36+PM.png

1. Count is how many you own (per printing, per, condition, per foiling status) so you may have 6 copies but if it's different statuses, you'll need to make a new line for each.

2. Tradelist Count: How many do you want in your Tradelist, if you want to set it at 0 now, that's fine but doing this in bulk is way easier than one at a time.

3. Name has to be exact. Commas, apastrophes and hyphens are all critically placed.  If you have a split card it needs to be like: Farm[space]//[space]Table - a Double Slash

4. I think this is newer, I've always had a pain writing the sets as they are entered with their full name, but if you can just enter the set code, which it looks like you can, that's a lot easier.  Pro tip! Almost all Commander sets in the past few years are the setname with a C at the end.  March of the Machines: MOM Commander: MOC, Wilds of Eldraine: WOE Commander: WOC

5. Having the set numbers is crucial especially in sets with multiple variants - if you're inport data doesn't have it, do it manually

6. Condition is the full word from this list: (i.e. Near Mint, Lightly Played) - it is likely you will need to "Translate" some of these from your other output

7. Language is the full word (English, Spanish, French, etc.)

8. Foil and all the things like Signed, Misprint, etc, is Yes or blank

9. If you started using tags you can enter them here, it's Comma Seperated, no spaces and I'd recommend making them before uploading them.

After you understand those, start copying over full columns, so copy cells from for "Card Name" from SCSV and paste them under the appropriate header in the DBCSV. They may not be named identically, but you should be able to figure it out.

Once all the columns are addressed, use the notes I gave you above and start "Find and Replace" in the new sheet.  So for instance let's say they export condition as NM, LP, MP, HP - you need to convert that to deckbox so find:NM (in the condition column only) and replace with:Near Mint
You'll need to do this for every irregularity above, but once you do it once, you know what to look for and it goes quick.
Save that file as a CSV and upload on the Inventory page.  IF there's issues you'll get errors.  Go back to the DBCSV file fix those errors and reupload.

Hope that helps!

Inventory Tags

After being requested & on the TODO list for years, and multiple abandoned attempts at implementing them, today tagging support was finally released, in a large feature pack for premium accounts.

Tags can be assigned to any card in an inventory, individually or in bulk. The bulk actions are available after selecting some cards via the Card Actions dropdown. The select all checkbox in the inventory can also be used to select all the cards matching a filter, and then bulk-tag (or untag) all cards in that filter.

There is a Default Tags selector for Add Cards now, so that when adding cards some tags can be directly set.

Tags are also now added to the csv export, and set when a deckbox csv is imported to the inventory.

Built decks issues

I know that some of you have been using built tags as a "tagging" mechanism. To migrate from built decks to tags, there will be a filter in inventories called In Built Decks. One could then filter by deck, then tag all cards in the result with a tag, and get rid of the deck.

I will work on this issue this week, so that the migration to tags is correct and fully functioning. I will make a new post on details and exact printings in built decks in a couple of days.

...

Filter bookmarks

As people will certainly use tagging for "inventory subsets" to manage large collections, I wanted to add a pinning feature to tags, so that you can see them in the left menu under Inventory for quick access. I added this feature in a more general way though, so that any filters that you want can be "bookmarked". This link will be then shown for quick access in the left menu.

This works for any set (wishlist, card database), and not just for inventories.

Tag "pinning" can thus be made by filtering for a tag, and saving that as a filter bookmark.

I'm sure there will be users with many tags and that a folder feature will be needed to sort them out, which can be toggled open or closed as they are for decks. This is not yet implemented but high priority.

...

Thank you in advance for any feedback.

Hey Sebi,

I've been playing around with Tags a lot and I think overall this is going to be a gamechanger for a lot of functionality on the site.  I've got a few small notes I wanted to throw in now while you're working on the next improvements:

1. Tags and Deckbuilding - Once, some of the tagging updates are ready, I see it very likely I'll replace all my decks and "pseudo-decks" that I have for marking storage location (binders, boxes, etc.) over to tags. It'll make moving items from place to place even easier by just removing the tag or swapping it on the card page.  That said, it would be super helpful if you had a way to apply tags to made decks.  Either as an action command during selection in the deckview or the ability to filter inventory by Deck Names in the inventory and apply a filter there.  This will help rapidly moving over all those created decks

2. Tags and Trading - A great use for tagging is locating cards for trades.  It would be super helpful if the tags were displayed in the trade window if they exist (so all my cards marked Trade Binder would show that and make pulling them easier.  The nice thing is then when those items are traded it automatically pulls them from the Trade Binder tag results.  Here's where it gets tricky.  I think you would need to have the tag connected with the trade item be persistent even once it's removed from inventory, as we'd still want to be able to find it.  Once the trade is received and closed all temporarily stored tags could be removed.

3. Tag Sorting - This is an easy one, and probably already planned, but in addition to having folders (and hopefully sub-folders) please make sure you give us ways to sort and order the tags.  Right now it's "last in" and there's no search so once I port nearly 300 tags I can imagine I'll never be able to find anything I'm looking for.

4. Tag Search - Can we add Tags as a search parameter, so if you have the word Secret Lair in search it would show Editions, Sets and Tags to choose from?

It would be nice to be able to sort by Card/Collector Number, specifically in the table, but also in filters. If I'm understanding it properly, the cards already know what Card Number they are (as seen in Editions and CSV export). It just needs to be visible to the user.

When you sort by edition, the card number is used as the secondary criteria automatically.

Printings are also shown by default sorted by collectors number in the per-edition listing (accessible via "Editions" from the left menu).

Sebi,

This may not be exactly what Dexpired is asking for, but I would love to be able to SEE those numbers too as a field (it could be hidden by default) - so whether I'm in Decks, Inventory or Trading I can see the Card Number.

I've said this elsewhere, but this should be an always visible thing on any trade page.  Having to mouse over each item to know which printing is a bit tedious when you obviously already have that info.

As a filter, it would be great to have is less than/equal to or  greater tham/equal to as a way to filter only certain printings in a search.  So If I want only the standard printings of the new WOE set in my inventory I could do:
Set: WOE
Foil: No
Set Number: >/= 276

I can't think of any but maybe there will be times when people want to find this for multiple sets so just adding it as a filter seems useful.

This is currently possible, but I believe it may be a part of the premium package - and you need to have settings set a certain way.

1. Have all your decks marked as Built:

https://jmp.sh/DJoE7REK+/Screen+Shot+2023-09-27+at+5.46.35+PM.png

2. Set how you want Deckbox to look at sharing cards between decks:

https://jmp.sh/D2Fxjw7A+/Screen+Shot+2023-09-27+at+5.52.32+PM.png

3. Then in inventory you can sort by How Many Needed in All Decks (Increasing)

https://jmp.sh/5WcAA7qY+/Screen+Shot+2023-09-27+at+5.54.47+PM.png

I think this is basically what you're looking for.

In theory from here, you could select them page by page and apply a Tag.

Then take the Tagged result page and export that as a CSV.  At this point, if the goal was to set them all for trade, you could delete all of the cards you just exported from your inventory.  Go into the spreadsheet and change the trade number to equal the inventory number then reupload the cards to inventory - now all those cards are tagged for trade.

If you're a premium member, and you want to trade anything you aren't using you can also just click here:

https://jmp.sh/2tFNL83n+/Screen+Shot+2023-09-27+at+6.03.04+PM.png

All that said, a feature in Inventory to see In Deck/ Not in Deck would be great! I would definitely use that filter.

You can! If you split the 3NM row, add one tag on the split one, another tag on the 2 remaining, it will work, they will stay "separate".

How would you split a row from inventory?  That functionality only works in the deckbuilding screen as far as I'm aware.

Also just a small bump on this.  If you can describe how to do the split, that would be awesome.

I pulled up the page for that printing and it still only shows 1 copy and 1 for trade even though that does not match the edition page.  I reloaded multiple times to confirm.

This seems to also be resolved, partially.  If I change my inentory in Editions it does show when reloading the card page, however I tested Avon's reported bug and could replicate.

So this is definitely unrelated to whatever fixed the issue I reported.

sebi wrote:
ZombieSleeve wrote:

I (partly) fixed the interaction now. If you change the printing or details in your inventory for something in a trade, now the entry in the trade will be "disconnected", so you will see the old version, and with "0" counts for inventory to show that is what you added initially, but you don't have it anymore.

You can fix it by clicking the inventory count and setting a 0 to the old row, and the new count on the new details.

Does that make sense?

Tested and it worked removing from inventory.  It also works if something was added to a trade not available, and the setting of qtty available changes on the card page it updates the trade.  This is now working as expected.  Cheers!

Bummer. Will you be communicating dates for removal of Marketplace features? Two things I'm wondering are when my final chance to export my card prices will be and when the final bill will be posted for Deckbox fees. Will Marketplace feedback be erased?

The prices will not be removed in the foreseeable feature, even after buying and selling will be disabled, so no rush to export anything. Seller feedback will not be erased.

I will try to get official tcgplayer prices for USD and cardmarket prices for EUR. After removal of the marketplace I will contact them and try to get the prices and to have a closer integration with other marketplaces (in an ideal world one would be able to directly sync his inventory between them).

The would probably be very open to sharing their API and possibly even giving you referal payments if you put a "Buy it on TCG / Cardmarket" link on every printing page.  This was if people are looking for a trade, and can't find a partner for it they have instant access to purchase. Plus, knowing you get a bit of money on each sale, I'd definitely use your referal link.

On a more important note: I think a few bugs may be present.

I had a trade where the printing the other trader wanted was listed wrong, so I went into my inventory and changed it to be the correct one

- Captain N'ghathrod 646 was listed as having 1 for trade
- went in inventory and changed that printing to Captain N'ghathrod 640

That should now say I have an unavailable item in the trade but it did not.  It still said I was trading him a 646, even though none were available.

I reloaded the page, still there.  I tried using the quick qty. switch on the trade page and it did not show 640 was in my inventory on that screen.

I went to add 640, and it turned the 646 into trading 2 copies.

I was only able to resolve by removing 646 completely and adding new the 640.

I saw something similar with another card. Burnished Hart Retro #71.  IT was in a trade but my qty available seemed wrong.  So after confirming it was incorrect I went into editions and added 1, so my total qty now was 2, 1 available for trade.

So excited to see this big enhancement being rolled out Sebi.

Did a little testing and have some questions/thoughts:

1. If I'm understanding this correctly, the tag works on a specific instance of a card, but not specific cards - What I mean by that is if I have 3 copies of Lannowar Elves (M12, NM) and 1 Llanowar Elves (M12, LP) I can tag the LP copy or all 3 NM copies, but would not be able to tag just one of the NM copies.

One of the things I was looking forward to with this is using it to define where cards are located, so tagging my singletons from each set into that set binder, and the stuff in the Trade Binder as in that location.  If I have more than 1 printing of a card with all the same attributes that seems like it will not be possible here at this time, right?

Could it be possible, where, like in the deckbuilding area, you could split a line for a card that has multiple copies and tag only one or some? So the result of what I shared above would be I would have one copy of Llanowar Elves (M12, NM, M12 Binder), two copies of Lannowar Elves (M12, NM), and 1 Llanowar Elves (M12, LP)

2. Seeing Tags in other places - Do you plan to make tags visible in built decks, so I can see where they came from and where they go back to? Can we see it in trades? This would be especially helpful for those of us with multiple trade boxes. And in the Card Printing page, in the "In your decks" section it would be great if we could see and edit the tags.  This would sort the request I previously asked for of being able to move cards from one location to another from that screen.

Sebi, thanks for your transparency and for continuing to make a great platform here. Hopefully, the time you have to focus on the trading platform will allow you to release more premium features that will encourage regular users to step up for some expanded features and help fund your work on the platform.

Hey there,

I think putting together two limits that are similar but kind of contradictory:

Color - Exclusively one of colorless
Number of Colors - Equals 1

This sounds like is both colorless and also of a color (number equals 1)

Perhaps a better point of where this is weird:

Number of colors = 0 - 193 Results
Color = All of Colorless - 227 Results

I could not find consistency in why is one and not the other:
Argivian Avenger
Clown Extruder
Ent-Draught Basin

So while I don't have an answer, I think removing the stacked criteria might help diagnose

In This Thread I proposed a solution here that takes care of part of the issue you may be experiencing - as long as you mostly get trades from your wants list. This solution would cover you as it would flag the second trade your want was in after you accept the first, as the card would no longer be in your want list.

That said, per your feedback, another symbol (maybe just a = ) says this exact item is in another incoming trade. Then it would be on the trader to know if it's the multiple copies they want, or about to be copy 2 they didn't need...

My pleasure, ZS! I love this site, so I'm all on board with offering what I can to make it better.
The other thread you posted does offer some solutions on the trade screen, but I'm more pointing toward the profile screen.
For example: I sign on, click 'Interesting cards for trade', and I get a list of cards from my wants list that were recently posted. So I click the profile of the user holding said card.
On their profile, it lists all cards on my wants list that the user has in their tradelist, as well as what I have that matches theirs (Image attached).
THIS is where I'd love to see the 'already in other trades' symbol, so I don't duplicate, double trade, or drive other traders crazy with having to adjust trades in progress because I inadvertently already got a card we were discussing.

Again, a lot of this could be avoided just with some extra care on my part, but this is a feature that would help me personally- I can't imagine I'm alone in this lol. Just a suggestion.

~S~

Got ya! And I love it.  The more data we all have in all the places the less frustration and honestly more trades we'll all get.  Thanks for the additional idea, I hope it's also considered!

Also the image you uploaded didn't work. The easiest way i found is to go to imgur or another service that will le tyou upload an image and give you a directlink URL - one that looks like:

www.website.com/imagename.png

Then paste that link here select the text and click the image button above in the tools.  it will end up looking like:

This is a little different from what ZombieSleeve is proposing, but falls under the same umbrella, so please forgive my not making a new thread.

I'd personally love to see the 'In other trades' tag when I'm looking at someone's profile (not just in the actual trade screen), and the list of 'haves' they have that correlate to my 'wants'. I've opened multiple trades for the same card before, and have on more than one occasion ended up with more copies of said card than I needed because I missed that it was on multiple trades.

Again, it's something that could be avoided with more diligence on my end, but I think it'd be a huge help.

Thanks for reading my recommendation and your feedback Sightburner!

When working on a trade with a partner and going back and forth to get the trade where both parties are happy, often small changes are done - removing a single card or swapping a printing/version.  In larger trades, this is almost impossible to detect what was changed.

After User A submits a trade, anything new or changed (Qty. / Set / Condition) is somehow highlighted if User B counters.  This state only needs to be visible until any change is applied by User A.  The system will have to combine multiple changes if User B makes separate proposed changes since the last time User A logged into the trade.

I don't know if it's feasible to do this with changes alone, but at a minimum, this seems feasible when changes are locked with a proposed trade offer.

When working through many trades simultaneously, someone will often propose trade items that were a want when they created the trade, but have since been accepted in another trade and are no longer needed.

I also occasionally have people propose, out of the blue, a card to trade that I do not have on my want list.

In both cases, I want to know that the item is not something I explicitly asked for, so I can more easily determine whether it should stay in the trade.  This is only really relevant before a trade is confirmed, as in many cases after it's confirmed, the item should no longer be in the want list.

This could be implemented as easily as having the color block for the # in the incoming card row to be a different color similar to how it looks when none are available.  Instead of red, it could be yellow or orange (take caution this may not be needed)

The addition of "In other trades" has been a big help, especially when managing many trades simultaneously.

I propose an improvement for it, though, that would significantly reduce the time needed to click on and load the specific card page and then the [more info] button.

Here's an example from a recent trade.  These are not all the same type of in other trade - some are similar card n outbound trades, and some are in pending trades.  for each, I have to go to the card and click a button to see if it matters or not:
https://jmp.sh/EfA2UHff+/Screen+Shot+2023-08-18+at+12.07.07+PM.png

I propose that instead of a single Green <-> why not just use four different arrows:

Outgoing Accepted: <- Green.  This item has been removed from your trade list anyway, so if you see this in another trade, it's a different, available copy.

Incoming Accepted: -> Green.  This item is already coming to you, so you hopefully wanted two copies. Ideally, we would have another symbol or way of identifying if something is Actively in your Wishlist still.  It's perfectly fine to add stuff to a trade outside the wants list, but it would be great if we could see something marking if something in a trade is in our want list or not.

Outgoing Editable: <- Grey.

Incoming Editable: -> Grey.

Hopefully, both of these are self-explanatory.  Knowing that a card I want in a trade is in another outgoing editable trade tells me I'm trading out a different copy than I'm looking for in this trade.  So there's no conflict.

It would be ideal if all four of these symbols opened the modal for the "In other trade" detail so it's easy to confirm which copy is going where.
