The layout looks nice.  I've become used to using Ctrl + I though and it took me a minute to find the search box.

Unlimited Edition Mana Vault is wrong.  Check recently sold listings on e-bay.  Supply online has pretty much dried up at the normal stores.

Not price related, but Unlimited Birds of Paradise shows an image from Revised.

What kind of mechanism would we use to trade?
Maybe it is a feature request for deckbox to allow both kinds of inventory and trade between them?  However, I am sure there is a way to do it until then.

I would assume you'd do it the way that users used to set up sales prior to the market place (a one sided trade).  One side with cards and the other side empty and agree on tickets in the chat.

How we did things back in 2013...

I would also potentially be interested in trading paper cards into MTGO tickets. big_smile

  • PayPal is 2.9% + $0.30 (ref). PayPal also charges for currency exchange (2.5%) and international (outside Canada & US) transactions (1%).

  • Selling on eBay is 10% (ref) + PayPal/Credit Card fee

  • Selling on TCGPlayer is 11% + $0.50 (ref) + PayPal/Credit Card fee

Instead of stopping selling you might as well try this: try to effectively implement a minimum order on your own using shipping options: increase your shipping charges to cover the flat fees: +$0.30 across the board and + 3.5% for each international. Then increase it to the point that the minimum order would be worth it to you to send. To remain competitive you can then decrease your card prices a little bit.

This is definitely the best way to handle it, and why my minimum for shipping is about $1.20.  Also PayPal doesn't 'charge' to do a refund, but they just don't refund the fees. I know this is sort of a semantics thing, but essentially you end up eating the fees for receiving the payment, even though you gave that payment back to the customer.  I've also taken my cards off the market place for a while, but I may put some back up before Christmas.  It tends to be a bit of a  hassle to keep up with, and if you're not able to devote the massive time required to sort cards, ship small orders and keep up with prices, then it's not worth it to sell.

This is an awesome feature.  big_smile

As usual I found a minor bug.
FTV: Angels is showing the wrong graphic for me.  I was looking at the page and wondering why the Zendikar vs Eldrazi duel deck was $60...  Or rather, I think it's supposed to be the duel deck based on how it's categorized, but the description says that it is from the vault angels.

Wow!  Awesome updates!

This is pretty awesome.  Great job!

Beta Counterspell seems really skewed due to a high listing or two on TCG player.   These are currently about $80 NM on other sites.

Update:  Jace and Time Vault have been sold (through another site).

Grim Monoliths have been reduced in price slightly.

I realize that I never put up photos of the items I listed. Here they are on dropbox.  Drop box will ask you to log in, just close that, you do not need to log in to view these.

edit: Also Inkmoths are gone; updated title.

These are all good updates!  smile

I do want to point out though that paging is slightly broken on sold orders, specifically the sort order is reversed when I hit "next page".   It stays reversed when I hit previous, so I can still see old orders but I find that odd behavior.

I'm pricing some cards from my trade list.  If you see anything on there that doesn't have a price, feel free to ask me about it.

I'm trying to move these, so they are being priced fair.

Notable cards include J̶a̶c̶e̶,̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶M̶i̶n̶d̶ ̶S̶c̶u̶l̶p̶t̶o̶r̶, Chalice of the Void and I̶n̶k̶m̶o̶t̶h̶ ̶N̶e̶x̶u̶s̶!  Oh and Alpha bolt, because you can throw your textless bolts in a fire for all I care. Alpha is the best bolt.

I will be pricing the lower end cards as I have free time.

Should be back to 2$ again though, right? One person has it listed for $100 but he's not taken into calculation.

Still showing $100 for me.  I'm thinking it's broken, I reloaded the page, should not be cached on this machine.  Accurate pricing should be around $2-$3.  It's $2.69 mid on mtgstocks.com.

well, 1$ stamp... i don't know how are the prices in the USA but 1$ is very cheap for international...
I guess that the tracking can be added after by paying a little bit more.

It can't.  You either pay $1, which is cheap but has no tracking or you pay something closer to $15... International mail is lame like that.  However shipping to a few countries (including Canada) you can fill out a customs form, and the customs number can be used for tracking.  But the number of countries that do this is still pretty small.

edit: so I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's less convenient and can be more expensive to trade internationally if you have to ship as a package.  If you can get away with sending cards as a letter, then sometimes it's not that bad.

How to Pack right, and how to send internationaly by the cheapest way possible.
I've been noticing that a lot of people have afraid to shipp internationaly so guys, here's the solution.

This is only a solution if the trade meets very specific criteria:  expensive enough to justify the $1 stamp, few enough cards to not be too thick and low enough value that it doesn't require tracking.

Edit: However I will say that I agree with everything he says about putting the card into the top loader and avoiding putting tape over the opening.  I still prefer to trade with the 70 cent stamps if trading within the US and using a PWE, and I use PayPal for anything that needs tracking.

I agree with this.  Most of my cards (particularly my commons) are sorted by color then alphabetically.  Being able to sort by color alone would be a big help in trades with a lot of bulk.

Might be nice on inventory, but not on wishlist. I prefer not to specify edition on my wishlist as it is not important to me, and if a card gets reprinted in the future it could lead to confusion.

This ^

Also if you choose the newest edition on the add to inventory screen it usually defaults to the latest (only) printing anyway.  There are also those people who enter their gold bordered stuff...  (Which doesn't really have a good solution right now anyway).

I have definitely mentioned this before, and I've seen others post about it as well.  It would be a nice feature, even if it let us tag versions we don't have so we can see how much it would actually cost to build the 'pimped' version of a deck (regardless of your definition of pimp).

Something that is really bugging me is the way tokens are incorporated into deck building.
Allow me to clarify: say I would want to create a deck containing 60 cards with a 15 card sideboard.
Now, this deck relies on tokens so let's assume I need 3 types of tokens and, say, 5 copies of each.
When I look at the summary for the deck I'm going to see 15 more cards than expected, not to mention
the position of tokens in the deck is right in the middle.
I would not want to put these tokens in the sideboard since I would face the same problem with sideboard space,
let alone the fact I might forget about them altogether as I often use sideboards as "ideas in need of checking".

I would suggest adding a separate location for adding tokens to a deck, similarly to how sideboards (and scratchpads) are incorporated.

I sometimes put tokens in the notes area.
