This deck was from a four person mini pod. Other drafters were Rakdos, Gruul (/White?), and Gates. I opened by picking a Blade Juggler and fell into a deck with some decent cheap orzhov creatures (Oligarch was in pack 1). Late in pack 1 I noticed that Aeromunculus had wheeled, so I picked it up along with a few other simic cards in case I ended up pivoting. Then I opened Ethereal Absolution in pack 2. Decision made! :P

I ended up going 3-0 at the event. Honestly, I didn't even see Absolution as much as I wanted to (though it did double my attack power against a suddenly much less threatening Gruel deck and allow me to go all out on offense). Just having a nice curve of afterlife creatures and some beefy ground creatures did really well. Like, my board was wiped by Gates Ablaze... and I got back about half as much power as I had before to continue beating. Plus, I had really good removal. Sky Tether to clear out flying blockers AND neuter attackers, Bring to Trial for huge beaters and a Riot-boosted Mammoth Spider... yeah, the deck was sweet.
