Went 3-1 in the event, earning second place.

Black was clearly the strongest color in my pool, with solid creatures and good removal. But... I also had Quintorius. My red was decent, but my white was mediocre. So... I made the dubious decision to splash just Quintorius in my mainly RB deck, adding 2 plains, the fixing cave, the graveyard hate cave, and a compass gnome.

Later, I ended up pulling out the Acolyte of Aclazotz for the Dinotomaton. While I had run Dead Weight and Idol of the Deep King for most of the night, I swapped them for Tithing Blade and Visage of Dread in round 3 while up against a UW artifact deck with few small creatures and then decided to just keep running them. I also the dubious choice to cut a land for another cheap creature (I think the second Deathcap Marionette, which I'd initially cut for Compass Gnome to make my splash work) after flooding out in one of my games. (I figured my landcycling dino and my Compass Gnome would largely make up for this, and that my curve was low enough to make it more feasible.)
