So, my pool for the midnight prerelease didn't really have any straight up bombs. I felt like red and green were both a little bit meh and that blue was fairly strong. I opted for UB as a base because it enabled me to run some more removal and value creatures like Vizier of the Scorpion.

Initially I was splashing green for Deathsprout and Planewide Celebration. However, after round one I cut that in favor of going straight UB (replacing the 2 forests with an island and a swamp and the green spells with Lazotep Behemoth and Unlikely Aid). After round two, I opted to splash white instead, cutting the previous additions and also one Relentless Advance for two Plains, two Enforcer Griffins, and a Wanderer's Strike. The white splash also made Kaya a little easier to cast (and hypothetically Dovin, but he's easy enough as it is.

All in all, I went 3-1 in the event (though in the last match my opponent conceded to get home earlier after I agreed to split packs regardless of outcome; I did win the one game we played for fun, though). So while I didn't really have a killer pool, I feel like I cobbled it together alright.

It's possible I was underestimating the strength of my other colors and that there were some other good decks in the pool. I was also tempted to try running my two Ashioks for the mill win memes, but never got around to it.
