    I'd cut the magus for a swamp.  I don think you need the ramp here and 21 lands is a little light.

      I'm feeling pretty good about it though. It's a mono-colored deck, has relatively in-expensive card draw, and ramp in the form of Liliana's Shade. I agree that the Magus doesn't do much. Maybe go for Pontif of Blight since I do own one copy.

      Ha ha ha! I originally called it Gray Matter, but since I added Conjurer's Closet I've re-named it. I NEED A BETTER NAME! I also don't own any Dread Warlock(s) anymore. Damn! I do have Nekrataal(s) though! And several Ambition's Cost. Better/worse than Sign in Blood?

            Sign in Blood is superior to Ambition's Cost in that it can target another player, is half the casting cost, and is black bordered.

    Dash Hopes is just a Lava Axe.  I'd cut them.
    I'd also look for more creatures that have good enters the battlefield effects if you want to use the closet.  I really like it with the Gray dude.
    You need more lands.


    Options for more black for the Grey dude:
    - Garza's Assassin to replace (or supplement) Murder
    - Gravestorm instead of Sign in Blood
    - Kuon, Ogre Ascendant

      Why you always down on my Dash Hopes!? I need to look through my collection and see what might be better but I love the idea of having someone on the ropes trying to resolve something against me :-)
      Great options all of them but I'm pretty sure I own none of them! Closet works well with Merchant and Shade, I could do a Nekrataal or two? Oh yeah!
