      I'm on the fence about adding the charm to the deck as I feel like I already have enough (and better) removal, but I do like card draw and +1/+1 counters! I don't have the support of the rest of the deck to best utilize 2 +1/+1 counters and is it really worth 3 mana and 2 life to draw 2 cards?

    I don't like these 2 updates.  You're too crazy about the unblockability.  The helm isn't worth it.  And Triad of Fates is too slow and not worth it.  2 turns to exile another guy and you still give the guy 2 cards.

      IMO, too often Commander games go on forever...so unblockability helps progress the game to a conclusion. Take a look at my list, and imagine Triad of Fates with Angel of Despair or Netherborn Phalanx on the board. Yes it's expensive, and I know I only have 5 CIP creatures, but what if I use it to rescue my Platinum Angel from harm? I think it'll be useful and I'll test and see.

        I was thinking about the Helm when you played it yesterday.  I do like unblockability in some decks.  I run Trailblazer's Boots (which is close to the same thing) in:

        Kresh to swing with general damage

        - Mimeoplasm to get poison across

        - Edric to draw a card (though now that I see it, I'm going to cut it.  I don't need it)

        - Kazuul to protect Kazuul when he has to attack due to my own effects

        - Kaalia to protect her fragile 2/2 body so she can attack and I can drop a dude.


        I don't understand why you need or want unblockability that only affects one creature here.  The only two creatures that are big enough to make a big difference are Avacyn and Lord of Extinction.  I think you'd be better served adding another creature instead since it synergizes with your general more.  The Whispersilk cloak is good here not for the unblockability, but to protect Avacyn or Platinum Angel if you get them out with the shroud.


        I get unblockable in Geist since you want him to swing freely, and maybe even Thrax since he wants to swing (you also have the Master of Cruelties, but if it was just one card in the 99, I wouldn't have bothered).  I just think you'd be better served with something else here.

          All excellent points! I'm going to leave it in here for the time being and if something else better comes along I'll remove the Helm (no pun intended) to put in that 'something' else.

          I love MOC and how it makes people freak out! I'll consider putting the Helm in the other deck.

      The Helm is already out, and ideally the Triad is for my own creatures: e.g. Brutalizer Exarch, Netherborn Phalanx, Angel of Despair, Resolute Archangel, or Trostani's Summoner...

      I'm not saying it's not slow, but if the right combination happens it could fuel some interesting games for me. See my comments from Oct 4, 2013

        I don't know about Alan, but Lefebre only has vampires in 21% of his decks. It's too specialized to be consistently useful.

          Ha ha! Look at you Mr. Stats! Yes, it is narrow, but I hardly ever draw it and I like knowing it's in there in case I need it. I know that won't make much sense, but it's the same way I feel about having Artifact/Enchantment destruction; You're only really sorry when you don't have it.

              I played it Sunday and both Alan and Lefebre we're playing Vampire generals in the same game. I managed to pull it and play it and Lefebre dispatched it quickly so worried about it was he. It's staying in.

                  I know it's a silver bullet for those decks, and yes it didn't make an impact on the game being exiled, but if it we're destroyed I have several ways to get it back. I also have several ways to find it when needed. For now I will leave her in the list. I may even add one to GoST.

                    The black decks that will be effected by it usually have too much creature hate for it to last long enough to activate its ability. It might work if you had some way to give it haste, or if you cast it after you already had Priviledged Position out... or maybe Whispersilk Cloak if nobody kills the Slayer before you equip.

      Greenseeker is for mana fixing and the factory makes token creatures. The deck has the ability to make token creatures and this is just one more way to do it. I'll bee adding in some newer cards in M14 and maybe Greenseeker can be retired.

          A mascot? Unfortunately it's an uncommon, so I can't go and use it in a Pauper Deck. I agree it's not flashy, but he'll hold the groud a bit. Much like a Jedi, I use him only as early defense, never to attack.

            You'd have to have it in your opening hand for it to be even remotely useful... but the rest of the game it would be a dead draw. Hell, for the same amount of mana you could have a Wasteland Viper.

      I totally agree with Matt on this.  Every time you've played it in a game, I'm always surprised.  It's way too outclassed for EDH.  There's much better things you could do.  After turn 3 or 4, at best it's a chump blocker.
