The button appears after an hour smile. We made it that way so that the buyer has time to re-try the payment or check paypal and see what went wrong.

I see the order is canceled now, so all is good, right?

For the record, I have a few cards listed as poor condition, when really they are M/NM, Misprint - Ink Blotches. That is one of the reasons that I would really like freeform tags/labels.

Would this be better solved by just having a free form notes field on the card?

The more I think about this the more I also lean towards the "multiple inventory boxes" idea, and not so much in favor of freehand labels as a primary means of organization.

I'll try to write some of my thoughts and describe a possible implementation in the following couple of days. I'll post it here for your critique big_smile

We have a page with information on shipping costs in our help section.

Please post in this topic if you have information to add to it, about your country's shipping costs. It would help the other users a lot.

International Shipping

Good news for sellers, especially ones interested in US-Canada and intra-European Union sales. We now allow shipping options for multiple destinations. Aside from setting specific ones for specific countries, you can also set one for International, or European Union.

Head over to your Seller Profile options to add some.

To help new users with shipping prices we have started a help page about shipping costs. We've also added there some information on weight of cards, toploaders and standard envelopes, to help calculations.

I you wish to help us expand it with more information, please post the info and links in  this forum thread.

Multiple Currencies

We are not yet ready to add full support for multiple currencies to the website, so card and shiping prices will remain in United States Dollars for the time being. There is, however, something that we can help with.

When a buyer in Canada buys from a seller from Canada (same for EU), they need to pay currency conversion rates for CAD-> USD for the buyer, and then USD->CAD for the seller, since he wants the money in his own currency in the end. To help with this, sellers can now also set a Preferred Currency on their Seller Profile. Afterwards, when buyers are redirected to paypal to pay, they will do so in that currency.

E.G. I have a Verdant Catacombs listed for sale, for 70$, but ultimately I want my money in Euro (since I'm here). The buyer also has money in Euro. On the order page, he will see something like this:

http://deckbox.org/system/images/forum/3_3_ann/verdant.png

, and he will pay the sum in Eur on paypal, thus circumventing some currency conversion fees on paypal.

Competitive Magic

We wanted for a while now to keep up a bit better with the Magic the Gathering Professional scene events. They influence card demand and pricing, deck building trends and others. Now we figured it is time to do something about this.

We have set up a community called Mtg Competitive Events and we have introduced the Pro Tour and Grand Prix events for this year in its calendar. We also set up calendar feed if you would like to keep track of them in your calendaring app.

The community comes with a forum where you can discuss events, top decks, favorite pro players, and other such things.

Join the community now if you wish to keep up to date with this forum and competitive events. As a community member you can also mention on each event page if you are attending or not, should you want to meet up with other deckbox users there smile

After each event we will add the top 8 decklists on the event standings page. See for example the ones for Pro Tour Atlanta (By the way, congratulations to Patrick Chapin for his win on sunday with his Junk Midrange deck!).

Other fixes

* Fixed an issue where buyers could not cancel unplaced orders
* Clarified reasons why you cannot buy cards in some cases from a seller (he is on vacation, etc)
* When viewing trades you cannot see inventory counts if your trade partner does not have his
  inventory set to public

Congrats to Patrick Chapin on winning PT Atlanta! Winning deck was a Junk Midrange. Also in the top BUG Control and RG Elspeth. Check out the event page for more details.

It most definitely is not a fight :-) Also, I'm glad you like the app. I'd make it much more but without an API I'd constantly be struggling with things like login problems, set downloading progress, one star reviews (which are really really disappointing for me), support requests and others and I simply don't have the rime for that. Either I can do something great or it's not worth it to waste my time on and right now I'd be wasting my time.

Completely understandable. I will start on a readonly alpha version after this release, even if it's just going to be authentication and fetching a user's list of sets.

Yep, we thought of this as well, and will add it soon.

Will do! I put it on the list.

It's right now sorted by the last one you added to the trade, but will change to alphabetical.

I've been promised a working API about two years ago. Based on the promise I made an app which people really want to have and use but since the team has other priorities, I decided to have other priorities, too, so the app remains unfinished and unpolished.

I'm sorry for the promises i made, I am always too optimistic with what I think I can do, and it always turns out it's not so easy... I will try to announce less things in the future until I know they are almost done.

API is still very important to me, and I still want to have it. It does require work and it depends on some structural changes that are not yet done. It will come, I'm not sure when.

You can easily follow activity on this forum and be notified of upcoming Pro Tour events if you become a member of the Mtg Competitive Events community.

I can't seem to cancel order #837. Despite the site telling me it's been cancelled, it's still showing up as open.

Will be fixed for tomorrow's release, although I see that the seller has canceled it.

Fixed.

True @ multiple printings in the same edition. We're working on that too, should be in towards the end of the month.

Release coming soon to address international shipping and currencies! (This upcoming weekend)

It looks like Planes and Schemes are included, but are there plans to add tokens and emblems to the database? Magiccards.info has a listing of them here:

Would be cool, I have them on the list, only slightly lower priority than the other missing card printings.

We want to allow "official" sales of sealed product as well at some point soon, through the "official system". Still need to implement some stuff and inquire about  the legal implications with Wizards. Until such point, you can still trade them normally.

Agreed, we need to solidify this feature a bit.

I think it was a caching issue, could you try again now? (If you still do not see it, where do you not see it?)

I was entering as .50, but it does work if I enter the leading zero (0.50), thanks!

Didn't think of that format big_smile. But it would be convenient to write it without the leading 0 indeed! I'll put it on the todo list smile
