Well gumgodMTG I must spend too much time here too, because I do the same thing and I noticed the same thing.  I wish the special editions were in order of date of release like the rest of them instead of thrown in at the end, but I am still pretty happy with it all.

I have been using the default setting for a couple of weeks now and I am absolutely thrilled with it! It cut down on the time frame for adding things to my wishlist tremendously! Love it!

I have always thought that it should always be any card ever printed should be legal. It's been one of my pet peeves about this game that they keep changing the rules (ie what's allowed, what's not, how to mulligan, how many cards to play at the start up....used to be you rolled a dice and if you won the roll then you got to go first, none of this if you go first you don't draw crap. It was plain and simple).

In my mind, they have always just pumped out the cards to make money, not because the cards added a whole lot more to the game. The game has changed so that there are so many variants and rules now that it's intimidating to new players (and to old ones that have been off the scene for awhile.... my dad used to play all the time. Now since he has been away from it for a few years he is reluctant to get back in because he feels that too much has changed and he doesn't want to look like a noob when he really isn't. And I don't blame him because I felt the same way when I came back into it).

I think that if you make a card then it should be playable, plain and simple. Perhaps restrict  the lethal combos (ie instead of banning a card, ban what it can be played with in a deck so that you don't have those situations arising that made the cards banned in the first place).   What was the point in even making the card otherwise? It would definitely make the designers have to stop and think more about how certain cards play well with others. None of this "well if it don't play nice then we will sit little Johnny card in the corner for a time out". 

I payed good money or did good trades for some cards and now all that has to happen is let a few years go by and my good money card(s) becomes  common because of all the reprints or the changes in the rules that make them practically useless. It's kind of disheartening really. It's set up so that if you want to play in legal tournaments it  forces you to dish out money and buy the latest cards.  I guess that's why I mostly prefer to play at home. Then I can play my favourite cards that I have had for years.

I probably wouldn't go for the ante thing either, but I definitely like the idea of playing with anything that was printed.

Sorry for the rant. I think that is all my pet peeves spelled out in one little rant session.... I think.

Right now you can sort your wishlist by expansion set, which works for those with small wish lists, but those of us with large wish lists (mine being currently at 97 pages and I am not even nearly done adding to it) this just doesn't work well.

I had earlier asked for a way to get from say page 1 to page 39 of my wish list with out having to click through 39 pages to get there (it would work much like the pages here on the forum) and I am still hoping that gets implemented one day. 

As it stands now if I want to find out how many I have left that I need for my Chronicles set and what the names of those cards are that I need, I have to click through page after page after page, after page , etc.... until I finally find where they are in my list.  Now that set is buried so far into the wish list that I wouldn't even know what page they are on.  And since I am still adding it's only going to get worse for me.

Also, in your deckbox profile under Settings there is a check box for " I want to receive news". Make sure that is unchecked too. 

The only times I get emails are when someone has done something directly involved  in a trade of mine (ie sent, received, edited a trade. etc).

Adding to what dalden said ..... Being able to " just consider each edition individually" would be extremely useful in all aspects of the site not just the Inventory Count. For those of us with about 60 or more pages of cards on their trade list and wish list it can be pretty time consuming when you want to see all of a certain edition and only that edition.

As it stands now, if I want to see how many more cards and the names of all the cards I need for say the Tempest edition and I filter my wishlist by edition, if it is about half way through the list then I have to click through about 30 or more pages just to get to all cards in that edition.

Same goes for for if I am looking through someone else's large trade list for cards of just one particular edition, or if they are looking through my trade list for cards of just one particular edition.

Shouldn't be all that tricky. The data base is already there and it is obviously already sorting by edition so it's just a matter of limiting what appears on the screen to just the edition you ask for.

I am with jassi007  on this topic in all counts.   

There could be traders (especially newbies) that legitimately trade a fake and don't know it, and you want to mark them for it? I think that as long as when the fake is discovered and the one sending the fake makes amends then that should be that. 

Someone who is deliberately sending fakes will get discovered and ratted out (via these forums). Deal with them on a  case by case basis as they come up (which really, I can only see as being a rare thing on this site...trading is much more labour intensive to a true scam artist who is after the cash, not more cards. They are less likely to waste their time in trades when they can sell them...just my humble opinion).

I say don't look for the mountains when there are only mole hills. Concentrate on much more needed features on this site rather than something that may rarely if ever even come up.

I have spent about 3 hours a day and I am on day 4 now and I am still not done. Takes awhile but I enjoy doing that sort of thing. Plus once it's done, as long as you keep it up to date as you go along then you don't have to invest too much more time into it.
