Great Job!

After this uptade in deck view there are no colors in columns (green blue yellow).

I noticed this as well is this intentional or a bug/error? I very much prefer seeing the colors.

Cards that you don't have enough copies in your collection for this specific deck are still being marked yellow, but yes, I also liked previous implementation of coloring scheme.

"Decks containing" being in the center of the page is pretty good but the justification seems wrong from UX perspective. That is the decklist name is justified left and selected printing and "matching" dropdown list is justified right. This means there is large empty space in the middle and the matching menu unfolds even further to the right even outside of the main page center. I wonder if right side elements could not be moved more to the left to resemble more how they look in decklist. Perhaps putting rightmost columns on the left of decklist name would work better while maintaining total width of the table.

Thanks for the reply.
So this will be back to merging behavior at some time in the future and I do not need to go through the whole collection and manually merge entries, correct?

Hi
It seems like automatic merge when adding cards with the same attributes as already existing entry in collection is not working anymore. Unless I'm misremembering when adding multiple exactly same entries to collection they would automatically merge. For example going to https://deckbox.org/mtg/Step%20Through, then "edit", then "add new row" two times, then "save and close" would result in one entry with two cards. Now it adds two separate items to inventory. Does my memory fails me or the functionality is no longer working?

Similar formats already exist for example Two Dollar Highlander and Penny Dreadful but they never took off because of problems you already listed and a few more.

The major issue you have not listed is the one that for me makes this kinds of formats fail on the spot and cannot be worked around because you literally are basing the format around it. It  is the legality verification. Cards legality basing on their price is abysmally unwieldly metric. For example how do you exactly determine the price of the card - do you use tcg price, cm price, deckbox price etc?
Adjacent to this is the issue you mentioned that is the price fluctuations. This makes your deck fluctuate between brackets (or even become completely illegal) which makes metagame based deckbuilding impossible and since this is the basis of any competitive format in mtg it creates environment where matches results are very unpredictable and makes sideboards almost useless. Basing legality on price also requires you to log all price changes since price can change at any time and card legal at the beginning of a tournament can become illegal later during that very tournament. You probably could implement some kind of hysteresis loop to make those changes less abrupt but that's is only a band-aid and will be almost impossible to implement and manage.
Also whatever you do you are still basing card legality on market value which is derived from card scarcity and not actual power level and this means some cards reprinted into oblivion will be absurdly overpowered compared to other cards printed only in early sets. Due to that and power creep you will end up with format consisting mostly from latest cards plus a few powerful or unique effects from early days of mtg (and those will be probably pushed out of the format anyway due to price increase resulting from higher demand and natural price increase that happens with time). This would make such a format incredibly uninteresting to me since despite being eternal it old cards would be hardly present.
There are more issues related to using price as legality like legality in other formats influencing the price (e.g. Splinter Twin is not legal in modern now but if it would become unbanned its price would significantly increase heavily influencing format you are suggesting).

+1 on sorting not working in decklist, but for me cards are displayed randomly.

This UI change is very helpful. Thanks a lot.

Is anyone else having this issue?

When I look through my inventory at Core21 cards, the set symbol is not the same size as other sets, appearing  squished and difficult to read. thankfully when I hover over the cards it displays the correct image for each card.

When I look at my decks, the set symbol is squished but when I hover over a card like hooded blightfang for example the image displayed is simply the back of the card. It does this for all Core21 cards, which is obnoxious.

Anyone else experiencing this issue and/or can someone look into this. All other sets as far as I can tell are not affected.

Thank in advance

I have similar issue with M21 symbol. It does not seem squashed but rather much smaller than other symbols (half the height and width of, for example, M20). This makes the text on the symbol unreadable. It seems that the image file https://deckbox.org/images/mtg/editions/M21_U.jpg is prepared in the same way as other non-core set symbols while rest of core set symbols are prepared in special way (to accommodate the fact that they are much bigger than other sets symbols I guess). Maybe prepare M21 symbol in the same way as other core set symbols?
Screenshot illustrating the problem is in attachment. /edit forum is giving me error when I try to attach image file so no screenshot.

Endbringer is added to Launch Party promo list twice.
I think that's a mistake.

Statistical charts look sweet and are very usefull.
Just one small bug (or my web browsers mess this up) - mouseover popups on charts are limited to predefined area and are not fully visible if the text in them is too long. See attached picture for examples.

Thanks a lot for the addition of cards from worlds!

As for the existing errors - cards exclusive to the 8E box set are filed under 8E. They are technically 8E but have separate collectors numbers (S1-S7). I'm not sure if they deserve special treatment as M15 had similar cards in sample decks, though collectors numbers of those were continuing after max set number (270-284).

Nice work with MM15.

I found two things:
- That Genesis Hydra printing has the same picture as the one from M15.
- Prices for cards reprinted in MM15 in decklists are unavailable as the printing chosen automatically is the latest one. This messes up price calculation for decklists. It would be very convenient to be able to change the printing from the default one. The lack of prices is obviously because it's a new set and no one should have those cards for sale before 22th but this rises an interesting question - is offering cards for preorder allowed?

I said it initially, but it seems people did not notice, so it perhaps bears repeating: nothing that was free yesterday is now for money.

Sorry to be so anal but thats not entirely true. New users don't get private decks and private inventory features on free account. So those features were moved behind the paywall.
My personal opinion is that those should remain free for everyone.
Also - the marker for built decks - the lightbulb is visible for all decks on free accounts, does not add any functionality that is limited by not having premium account and serves no purpose other than to annoy people.

Please think about what kind of image of a website those things convey to a new visitor.

Someone also mentioned in the announcement thread that he does not like the auto-add side-effect of the current import widget, and I kind of agree, it's not what you want a lot of the time.

I think it would be best if the functionality were split, e.g. IMPORT (to tradelist from inventory) and ADD (to tradelist and inventory)

What you described as IMPORT would be very convenient. One-click solution for making cards from your inventory available for trade would help a lot of people who actively trade/sell cards. But the second one would result in automatically making available for trade all new cards. Much better option would be a checkbox "add to tradelist" in import widget and/or optional keyword in expanded import language.

Think you might have introduced a bug accidentally...Artifact Lands are showing up in the artifact section suddenly rather than lands.  I'm assuming this is unintended as it's not in your notes.

It's a feature not a bug. wink
Seriously, it's not a bug because both land and artifact fall under card type according to mtg rules so it's correct for them to show in any of those categories. It's a matter of developers choice where they will show up. But this should be mentioned in changelog if it was intended.

Would it be possible to expand language used in card import dialog? Importing large lists of cards with just the default values setting is cumbersome. Some optional symbols would allow for importing large lists of cards without the need of further modifications of each card expansion, language etc. An example of expanded expression:

It picks friends recommendations from your city only from what I saw. The differences in administrative divisions in different countries make any filtering other than city and country very hard to implement and may be misleading.
But I'm all for filtering by country and tax region to minimize the costs associated with postage.

I really like the changes (at least the ones I use) except one thing - clickig on a price opens pop up window and selects the row on list. Selecting the row in such case is unnecessary and annoying. Can it be removed?

God, I hope you are joking. The only viable options for filtering trades geographically are city and country.

I second this. Sometimes shipping costs make trading with users from different country unfeasible, and for such cases it would be convenient to have an option to check only trades from your country.

I actually just discussed this with someone a little while ago, SCG is sold out at 15, ebay is about 15, Amazon/Marketplace has them at 68 and TCG mid is 175 because theres only like 5 copies.

The price is now over 157 which is ridiculous. That is incorrect as you can buy them from both professional and private sellers at cardmarket for a few euro +p&p.

I realize I missed the Cardz promo of Phyrexian Rager and have since found one and purchased it. As for the Suture Priest, does that even really count? It's literally the exact same as the ones from the set.

To be clear, I'm with you on this. From what I know this card does not differ in any way from "normal" one so it shouldn't be treated as such. Because when we start differentiating cards by from which pack they came then only madness lies ahead...

Yep, that's a good place for now, I'm fixing both types of issues at the same time.

OK, I will report any further problems of such nature there.

Suture Priest is shown as having a Media Insert printing, but I'm very sure it does not.

Edit:
As does Phyrexian Rager.

You are incorrect in both cases. Firstly Suture Priest is added as Game Day promo, not Media Insert. Secondly both of those cards have special versions:
http://www.magiclibrarities.net/749-rar … ml#card004
http://www.magiclibrarities.net/134-rar … ml#card002
To give you some credit I'm pretty sure Suture Priest was just a foiled version that was given at Game Day events, but I don't have one to compare so, eh, lets trust other resources if all of them agree on something.

/edit
Sorry for repeating but my browser decided that there was no second page of that thread. hmm

Is this the place to report price discrepancies, then? Because the WPN promo Path to Exile is displaying $0.00 when marked as foil, but gives a real price when marked as non-foil (the card itself is only foil).

That's the same problem I have reported. Sometimes its the other way around - the card is foiled and the correct price is assigned to foil-marked inventory item while non-foil item has price of 0. This is very inconsistent.
