Lots of card draw, incidental lifegain which should lead to good burn matchup, lots of good value creatures, good amount of time removal (main board o ring is good flexibility) and all that removal hits angler, and a hard to deal with late game once it gets rolling. Skyfisher and drifter always line up well with delver. The lifegain should keep you out of bolt range in the monarch matchup. I bet this guy got some of his etb creatures journeyd, then hit the journey with the o ring, and that feels so so good. Renewal into drifter is one of the craziest openers, and isn’t too unlikely. There’s also neat perma exile tricks you can do with momentary blink and the exile enchantments, which is cool.
