Frank Karsten's Jund Thud Deck
https://www.channelfireball.com/articles/this-new-standard-deck-can-pull-off-a-turn-3-kill-around-6-of-the-time/
==========================================

Not only can this Standard deck kill on turn three, but Frank Karsten ran the numbers and it can do so around 6% of the time. Let’s take a look!

There are two combos this deck can assemble quickly:

Turn two: Dreadhorde Butcher, attack.

Turn three: Colossus the Butcher, attack for 6. Postcombat, Thud the opponent. Thud does 7, the Butcher trigger does 7, and that’s 21.

You can also substitute Dreadhorde Arcanist in, which casts Colossus from the graveyard, dealing 9 from the attack and 9 more from Thud, leaving you a Shock (or Shockland) short of 20.

The deck can also operate as a Jund beatdown deck, so it’s not all-in on the combo. For more details, including Frank explaining the turn three percentages, take a look at Frank’s article on the deck here.

Of course, this deck wouldn’t be complete without cards from War of the Spark, which you can preorder now. Both Dreadhorde Butcher and Dreadhorde Arcanist have a ton of potential, and this isn’t the only deck that will look to utilize them.
