Hmm, interesting. I was just reading an article about Lagrella, trying to find a good wincon, and saw someone suggesting The Ozolith (the OG one). It's actually pretty awesome - all of those counters Rella is putting on the thing that returns when she leaves will actually go somewhere useful, like the Ozolith, and then you can move to combat and put seven million +1/+1 counters on Ghostly Pilferer. 

It seems like a more obvious Tayam fit, but I can't think of a time when it actually did very much, or even hit the battlefield for that matter. (Tayam's counter removal in her ability and the fact that things aren't leaving the battlefield with counters on them nearly as much as you'd think makes it honestly not a great fit there.) So I'm in. Ozolith, welcome to Lagrella-land.

The first run-out of this deck last Friday was a rousing success, at least until colorless Eldrazi deck guy targeted me with EMN Emrakul and didn't just wipe my board but basically kept me from doing anything for the rest of the game. I wasn't too salty about it because like I said, rousing success. I was definitely the target there for a bit and felt like I had the ability to dodge most other forms of response; being controlled for a turn was a beating. However, it also made for a pretty great memory - how many times are you going to be wiped out in such a fashion?

Anyway, adding in the rest of the stuff I bought will, I think, make for a more entertaining experience. Not necessarily more wins, but definitely more shenanigans. 

Realized today that this deck is capable of some stupidly complicated and marginally useful INFINITE COMBOS!! I already loved it and now it's just so much more lovable. To that end:

-Karmic Guide is going back in

-Very tempted to put Yannik in and find a Phantom Steed to add as well

-Also quite tempted to put Mirror Box/Gallery in so that the Karmic Guide/Preston combo with 'Rella can make an arbitrarily large number of LAGRELLAS. 

It isn't really that the combos are overly technical or anything, but the way this deck is constructed it's not terribly likely that they would be a win-on-the-spot kind of thing. Near as I can tell they don't even draw cards or make things bigger without something else being on the board, so it might be:

Me: Okay, I can go infinite here.

Them: How does it work?

Me: *explains*

Them: Ah, okay, so on to the next game?

Me: Actually, I'm just going to pass the turn. 

Them: 0_o

I can't wait.
