Those are the standouts from Dominaria.

The idea sparked from the activated ability of the lands on Vance's blasting cannons and path to mettle. If you can get to that point quickly/reliably, you could accelerate your mana into a control game. Hold up disruption, or cast a burn spell (sweet!)! Counter burn doesn't work because of the card/mana disadvantage, this is the opposite! Significant constraints of these cards in construction to flip them reliably. All the legendary permanents makes me think of Mox amber, which the combination feels like we are cooking with fire. Exploring the historic theme is cool, but I don't want to be too cute. Wizards seem like a great go to. Just aggressive burn. Lot's to look at.
