So there is a ton to play with in this build. The thought experiment started with remembering deathrite shaman is legal. People tried it without fetchlands and found it lackluster and have since forgotten it. It's still a uper powerful high pedigree card, but in pioneer it is either not good or a build around. So the question I'm asking myself is can we build around it? And if so, is that shell good?

When I first deep dived the format, I had in the back of mind the knowledge that there is enough card pool to support an 8-rack like strategy. These cheap hand disruption spells might be another route to fueling the shaman, and shaman can act as a pseudo rack. Vicious rumors is really well built for just this purpose. Mill is another option for fueling the shaman, and once we are headed down that route we get drown in the  loch and into the story. It could be possible to set up a super grindy 8-rack deck that gets to sit back with counterspells and draw 4's. Seems exciting! Then we can add our choice of must answer threats, and there are a ton for 2 or less.

If we can go into green we get abrupt decay, ooze, and trophy for complete coverage, but the mana get's worse.
