The Blame Game
Rakdos Politics | Goad | Forced Combat | Group Slug
The Blame Game is a Rakdos political chaos deck built around Xantcha, Sleeper Agent and the philosophy that the best way to win a fight is to convince everyone else to start one.
Xantcha enters the battlefield under an opponent's control, turning their own board presence into a resource for you. Her activated ability creates a strange alliance: opponents draw cards while you generate pressure, forcing the table to decide whether helping themselves is worth helping you.
This deck specializes in redirecting aggression through goad effects, combat manipulation, and political incentives. Cards like Disrupt Decorum, Kardur, Doomscourge, Karazikar, the Eye Tyrant, Crown of Doom, and Khârn the Betrayer turn opponents against each other while you sit back and profit from the chaos.
The deck closes games by converting the table's conflict into overwhelming damage. Damage multipliers like Dictate of the Twin Gods and Wound Reflection punish already weakened opponents, while Exsanguinate, massive Xantcha activations, and explosive mana engines like Mana Geyser, Black Market, and Magus of the Coffers provide the finishing blow.
The goal is not to lock the table down or eliminate opponents quickly. The goal is to create a battlefield where every decision has consequences, every attack has a cost, and everyone else slowly realizes they have been helping you win the entire time.
Win Conditions
Amplify combat damage with Dictate of the Twin Gods, Bitter Feud, and Wound Reflection
Generate explosive mana and drain the table with Xantcha activations or Exsanguinate
Use forced combat and goad effects to turn opponents' creatures into your win condition
Leverage Endless Whispers, sacrifice effects, and death triggers to create chaotic board states that favor you
Welcome to The Blame Game. The only rule is that nobody is allowed to admit whose fault it was.
