Notes

the demonic consultations are largely replaced by the tutors.  The cheap mana artifacts are replacing mana vaults and lotus petals (which were in turn replacing moxen, i think).  Fellwar stone could be better - you may not need them for color fixing - rather, for acceleration.

Are four tutors too many?  Consultation is probably better in this deck, since it is instant and only costs one.  Find that donate at the end of your opponent's turn...

Force spike, spell pierce, and mental misstep are not awesome in your meta... regular counterspell is probably better.  Maybe memory lapse or mana leak.  Or maybe, add three ponders and take out the cheap counters.

You are under-mana sourced.  http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/deck/15 is a non-vintage example to browse.  You might include a red finisher as well.
Pick up a mana short, and more impulses.

Hey! Am I missing something, or would donating Glacial Chasm be better and easier than Illusions of Grandeur?  For my casual playgroup, I think the Chasm is the winner - I've got to try this...  Political trickery could perhaps be added if you go with chasm.
