Notes
Consider (don't have):
$$$ Bitterblossom
$$ Bloodghast
$$$$ Sheoldred, the Apocalypse
Persistent Specimen - A worse Reassembling Skeleton
Cult Conscript - Another Reassembling Skeleton wannabe
$$ K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth
Agent of the Iron Throne - Another aristocrat effect that can often be sacced for card draw
Biotransference
Psychomancer - Blood Artist effect with artifacts
$$$$ Nykthos
Cards I have but are in use elsewhere:
$$$$ Liliana, Dreadhorde General - Teysa has the only copy
$ Skullclamp - Teysa, Wort, Breya and Hapatra have these and need them more
Dark Prophecy - In Teysa, but I might not even want it anyway
Consider:
Mephitic Draught - Second Ichor Wellspring
The One Ring
Phyrexian Altar
Opposition Agent
Illuminor Szeras - Sac outlet and ramp
Decanter of Endless Water - Mana rock that grants no max handsize
Ashnod's Altar
Crowded Crypt - Mana rock that can be turned into bodies later
Dark Ritual - Could get a turn 1 Braids
Spine of Ish Sah - Repeatable removal and artifact sac fodder, but expensive
Oubliette
Glistening Oil
Skullport Merchant
Nested Shambler
Gixian Puppeteer
Tenacious Underdog - Repeatable card draw and sac fodder
Sifter of Skulls - Get more sac fodder/mana out of every creature I sac
Open the Graves
Demons Disciple, Merciless Executioner
Myr Retriever - Sac fodder that regrows an artifact
Mikaeus - Get stuff back after saccing it
Village Rites
Harvester of Souls - Draw cards whenever ANY nontoken creature dies, which means I'm almost guaranteed 3-4 cards every time Braids sacs a creature
Bloodsoaked Champion
Falkenrath Noble, Vindictive Vampire
Demon of Dark Schemes - A sweeper for small stuff, with the option of reanimating things every now and then
Abhorrent Overlord - Get a ton of bodies, maybe
Gravelighter
Grave Titan - A ton of bodies
Kalitas - Make sure their dudes stay dead, and get some zombies out of it
Dusk Legion Zealot - Cantrip and sac fodder that can come out the turn before Braids
Phyrexian Rager - Cantrip and sac fodder for 3
Gonti - Get a card from someone, then either sac or block as a deathtoucher
Smothering Abomination - Draw a card when I sac something
Custodi Lich - Introduce the monarch, get an edict, then sac it to Braids
Ebondeath, Dracolich - 5/2 flier that Braids can sac every turn and still get to attack
Endrek Sahr - Lots of sac fodder, but would need a lot of free sac outlets to be able to stay below 7
Massacre Girl - If I play some tokens, this is basically a sweeper, which I might not need if I keep having Grave Pact effects
Nightmare Shepherd - Works great with the ETB creatures, not so great with the dorky repeatable creatures. Pretty sweet if I lean into the stealing people's things strategy
Pontiff of Blight - If I go a bit wide, I'll be able to drain a lot for every spell
Sangromancer - Gain some life
Krav, the Unredeemed - Sac outlet, card draw and lifegain, but probably wants a high body count to make it worth it
Wishclaw Talisman - Tutor something then give it to someone who has no artifacts, then sac an artifact with Braids? They can just let me draw a card, though
Mimic Vat
Cursed Totem
--------------
Consider cutting:
Swiftfoot Boots (from core) - Don't really need the haste, and paying to equip isn't always feasible
Victimize - Sac outlet and I get to reanimate two things, but do I need/want the reanimation aspect in this deck?
----------------
Cuts:
Sepulchral Primordial - Too expensive for a one-shot effect that isn't guaranteed to get me good stuff. Would be better with more recursion
Demonic Lore - Very risky if I lose Braids before I can sac this
Coveted Jewel - Risky if I lose Braids before I can sac it
Sheoldred - Helps keep opposing boards smaller, while also giving me sac fodder and being an evasive fatty, but 7 mana is so much
Omen of the Dead - Does a lot of small things, but none of them are great
? Chainer (from core) - Pumps Braids, but that also means he exiles Braids if he is removed. It's great that it can steal from any yard, but it just makes it so easy to win with Gray Merchant
? Massacre Wurm - 6 mana for a sweeper that only kills small things is a bit rough, even if the burn from sweeping a bunch of creatures is on theme
? Viscera Seer
Mausoleum Secrets - I'm not guaranteed to have a lot of creatures in the yard, this only gets black cards and I have to reveal. Instant speed is nice, though
Butcher of Malakir - Expensive, somewhat fragile, and maybe not necessary with the enchantment versions available. Being reanimateable is nice, though
? Ogre Slumlord - A bit expensive to play, and only triggers off non-tokens, so this is most likely going to make tokens off of a board wipe
? Torment of Hailfire - Replaced with Exsanguinate which can also be used not just as a finisher, but as a way to survive long enough to win other ways
