VAMPIRIC THIRST
The "Vampiric Thirst" deck puts Innistrad's oldest bloodlines under your control. These dangerous creatures have become crazed by their lust for blood - you'll have to direct that insatiable hunger towards your foe. The madness ability returns in Shadows over Innistrad, and mastering it will be essential to a Vampire victory. Several of the cards in this deck require you to discard a card as a cost for their effects. By discarding cards with madness, you can turn that drawback into an adantage by using it to cast a spell instead. Most madness cards, such as Fiery Temper, are less expensive to cast via madness. This means that discarding madness cards early can enable an overwhelming advantage before the opponent has time to build up defenses. For example, casting a Ravenous Bloodseeker on turn two gives you the opportunity to cast an Incorrigible Youths on turn three and attack for 7 damage. The Shadows over Innistrad set is packed with additional options for this archetype. Heir to Falkenrath fuels aggressive starts while providing a discard outlet for madness spells. Avacyn's Judgment is an efficient removal spell in its own right that's capable of destroying armies using the power of madness. The legendary Olivia, Mobilized for War can turn your other creatures into Vampires while making them more dangerous in combat. Comments
