VICIOUS CYCLE

Sacrifice your creatures for fun and profit with the "Vicious Cycle" deck. Most of the creatures in this deck have effects upon entering or leaving the battlefield, such as generating mana, drawing cards, or making even more creatures. Your graveyard will fill up quickly, but don't worry - that's part of the plan.

Prioritize sacrificing creatures that create tokens when they die, like Seed Guardian, Carrier Thrall, and Blisterpod. Producing Eldrazi Scions this way will help you to activate the colorless mana abilities of Kozilek's Pathfinder and Dread Defiler. Wastes are another source of colorless mana. Because Wastes are basic lands, you can find them with cards like Evolving Wilds, Loam Larva and Natural Connection.

Many cards in the Oath of the Gatewatch set would work well in the "Vicious Cycle" deck,. Embodiment of Insight lets you temprorarily animate lands into creatures, providing you with threaths or fodder to sacrifice. Vile Redeemer creates a swarm of Eldrazi Scion tokens. The resilient World Breaker is a massive Eldrazi that eliminates an opposing artifact, enchantment or land.
