Notes

RELENTLESS RUSH

Speed and persistence are the draconic aspects that the Kolaghan proudly embody. They charge into battle recklessly and don't yield until the war is won. Their impulsivity works in their favor as it keeps their enemies from predicting their next move.

The dash ability is at the forefront of the "Relentless Rush" deck's strategy. When you cast a creature for it's dash cost, it can attack the turn it enters the battlefield, and then it returns to your hand for safekeeping. This allows you to launch a surprise attack and take your opponents by storm!

You may be tempted to use dash with every creature that has the ability, but early on, it's usually better to cast some creatures for their normal costs. That way, you don't have to keep paying mana turn after turn to get your creatures back on the battlefield, and you'll have a few blockers available if you need them. As your opponent's life total drops, you can use dash more confidently. Be sure to keep cards like Impact Tremors and Ambuscade Shaman in mind when deciding whether to use dash, as they let you reap repeated bonuses every time your creatures enter the battlefield.

If you're looking to augment your deck, Dragons of Tarkir has many options. Pitiless Horde is a huge creature with a low mana cost that has the dash ability, Zurgo Bellstriker is a 2/2 creature for just one mana that will help you start dealing damage quickly. Finally, though Dragonlord Kolaghan doesn't have dash, it does have haste - and it also grants haste to rest of your creatures, ensuring that your opponents won't be able come back from your relentless attacks.
