PRIZE OF GLORY

Use your life total to conquer your opponents with the "Prize of Glory" deck. Pay a little life for powerful effects, then gain back everything you lost and then some. Power may come at a price, but that is no problem for you.

The deck centers around Ajani's Pridemate and Wall of Limbs. Because you have numerous ways to gain life turn after turn, these creatures can quickly grow to threatening size. In addition to cards like Soulmender and Staff of the Sun Magus, you also have creatures with lifelink, such as Sungrace Pegasus, that can pump up Ajani's Pridemate and Wall of Limbs repeatedly.

many of your other spells can take advantage of your healthy life total. Sign in Blood and Ulcerate cause you to lose life, but they offer extra cards and powerful creature destruction in exchange. First Response nets you 1/1 Soldiers when you lose life - either because your opponent  damaged you or because you paid the life yourself. If you find yourself getting low on life, Resolute Archangel will safely bring you back to your starting life total of 20.

There are many cards in Magic 2015 that can contribute to this deck's strategy. Congregate gives you 2 life for each creature on the battlefield, so it's even more potent if your opponent has a board full of creatures. Avacyn, Guardian Angel is a large flier that lets you dominate the skies, while Ajani Steadfast is a planeswalker that can grant your creatures lifelink as well as put +1/+1 counters on each creature you control.
