Notes

MASSED RANKS

The Dromoka rally to crush their enemies, embodying the draconic aspect of endurance through cooperation. Like Dromoka and her brood, the clan believes an army is only as strong as its weakest link. United, they will overcome any adversary.

In the "Massed Ranks" deck, cards with the bolster ability allow you to put +1/+1 counters on your creatures with the lowest toughness so they can fight alongside their stronger counterparts. Bolster early and often, and you'll soon have an army of huge creatures that will dominate in combat.

Cards like Servant of the Scale and Lightwalker are very strong in this deck because of the abundance of ways to amass +1/+1 counters. Get those creatures onto the battlefield early and follow them up with your bolster spells. Remember that some of your creatures with bolster can put counters on themselves. Sandcrafter Mage, for instance, can become a 3/3 creature if you control no other creatures, so don't hesitate to get it on the battlefield. Once you have an army of creatures with +1/+1 counters, cast a spell like Inspiring Call or Scale Blessing to clinch the game.

If you enjoy heaping on +1/+1 counters, the Dragons of Tarkir set is full of cards that will help you build an unstoppable army. Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit is a two-mana creature that lets you bolster when creatures enter the battlefield under your control. Avatar of the Resolute is a 3-power creature, also for just two mana, that can get much bigger if you bolster a few other creatures before casting it. And Dragonlord Dromoka is a huge flier that prevents your opponents from meddling with your plans on your turn.
