Notes

HIT THE GROUND RUNNING

With the "Hit the Ground Running" deck, your creatures are the key to victory. Many of the creatures make an immediate impact with effects that trigger when they enter the battefield. As your forces grow, use and reuse these effects to overwhelm your opponent.

Your creatures with enter-the-battlefield abilities provide advantages in a variety of ways. Satyr Wayfinder and Shaman of Spring each grant you an extra card, while Frost Lynx and Kapsho Kitefins can remove pesky blockers. You can even destroy problematic enchantments and artifacts with Reclamation Sage. Sometimes, several of your creatures will trigger at the same time. For example, if you have a Kapsho Kitefins on the battlefield and you cast a Shaman of Spring, you can both draw a card and tap a creature. While other decks need to use instants and sorceries for these effects, you get them along with creatures that stay on the battlefield.

If one enters-the battlefield ability isn't enough, you can trigger these abilities over and over with cards that allow you to replay your creatures. Invasive Species and Roaring Primadox both return your creatures to your hand, while Peel from Reality and Into the Void let you bring back your own creatures or set your opponent back.

There are other Magic 2015 cards that can help you "hit the ground running". Quickling is a creature with flash that returns a creature to your hand, letting you reuse enter-the-battlefield abilities or save a creature from impeding death. Kalonian Twingrove is a large Treefolk that gives you a Treefolk token when it enters the battlefield - quite a combination with Roaring Primadox! Or you could try Soul of Zendikar, an imposing creature that can summon lots of Beasts.
