Notes

INFERNAL INTERVENTION

While wielding the "Infernal Intervention" deck, your goal is simple: destroy everything in sight. Combine red's reckless destruction with black's death and decay to clear the opponent's side of the battlefield.

If your opponent has something threatening on the battlefield, you can probably remove it. Typhoid Rats kills nearly anything it gets into combat with. Torch Fiend removes pesky artifacts, and with spells like Lightning Strike, Blastfire Bolt, and Flesh to Dust at your disposal, your opponents will be hard pressed to keep their important creatures out of the graveyard.

Removal spells with one target are useful, but it's the cards that can kill multiple creatures that let you really pull ahead. Nightfire Giant, Cone of Flame, and Burning Anger are some of the most important cards in the deck. Use your other removal spells to slow your opponent down while these cards clean up the rest of your opponent's meager forces. One particularly brutal play is enchanting Typhoid Rats (a creature with deathtouch) with Burning Anger: you'll be able to tap Typhoid Rats to destroy any creature! As you pick off opposing forces, Nightfire Giant and your other heavy-hitting creatures can attack for massive amounts of damage.

If playing this deck compels you to destroy things, then Magic 2015 has plenty more cards for you. Altac Bloodseeker starts small as a 2/1 but gets stronger as you kill more creatures. Inferno Fist is an aura that serves the double duty of making one of your creatures more powerful and letting you burn an opposing creature out of the way. If you're interested in destroying everything at once, In Garruk's Wake and Perilous Vault are powerful cards that will leave the battlefield in ruins.
