Notes

CRUEL PLOTS

Dragons are ruthless, and the Silumgar take this ruthlessness to the extreme. They sacrifice members of their own clan, both living and undead, as means to their selfish ends. With supreme focus on riches and power, they will let nothing stand in their way.

The "Cruel Plots" deck features creatures with exploit, which lets you sacrifice a creature in order to trigger a powerful ability. If you're gutsy enough to suffer a temporary loss in your ranks, you'll reap rewards and come out on top in the end!

The key to this deck lies in its small creatures, which you'll use as inexpensive fodder to sacrifice. It's even better if that fodder gives you an added benefit when it dies - Palace Familiar and Shambling Goblin are perfect examples. In a situation where the triggered ability of a creature with exploit is more valuable than the creature itself, remember that you can sacrifice that creature to its own exploit ability. Ruthless Deathfang is especially brutal, as it gives you a further advantage for exploiting as well as a large, flying body that will help you close out games.

If you're craving more merciless ways to win, the Dragons of Tarkir set has you covered. The legendary creature Sidisi, Undead Vizier provides many options by allowing you to exploit a creature to find any card in your library. Corpseweft ensures you'll get double use out of the exploited creatures festering in your graveyard by turning them into Zombie Horror tokens. And of course, there's Dragonlord Silumgar, who can steal an opponent's creature or planeswalker!
