Restrictions breed creativity. I've been wanting to do a partner and companion threesome, but I don't think Gyruda is great for this. Don't get me wrong, I love the deck building challenge, but partners are just fairly weak. Like sakashima is already in the deck, and gives "abuse legends" outlet. Tormod and sakashima bot make Gyruda go wide when in play which is cool, and offer alternative lines. The problem is both need to be enabled on the deck design a good extent, and the Gyruda restriction is just prohibiting enough to render either mediocre at best in a dimir deck. We need more colors for more options and/or a commander that doesn't require much enabling.
