I wanted to build a spellslinger deck that doesn't full storm, more incidentally casts a bunch of instant and sorceries (primarily burn spells) and can soft fireball people out. Like how do we make not hyper efficiency, but like just generally casting a bunch of neat instant and sorceries for midrange value cool.
After tinkering with a cutthroat niv Fredo style and pulling the list for this I have a much better concept for this. This can be an evolution of Nicol bolas. I cut my teeth on malfegor and og Niv-mizzit. Then disassembled those and found a home in Nicole bolas. Fredo asked for Nico to be reborn, and why not a supreme? I can make Niv virtually untouchable with a sword. The jump start ability actually just makes your hand, graveyard, and library the same, with building restrictions, the hallmark of Nicol. There's a pretty good self wheeling base, and self recursion, making it a fairly free closed loop. I can incorporate all the splendid reclamation variants to just dump my lands into play at the mid point of the game. I get my choice of good stuff to play, and I know I do a lot of whoops Gotcha throwbacks. Put in a bunch of modal to to just have like 100 modes at any given time to choose from, the ultimate that way. I can do literal anything at anytime. So many cards that do one thing and another thing incidentally, like what is even happening. And then cobbling together random wins through this, almost like unique fatalities. Eidolons are all stars giving free jumpstarts and hand padding for wheels. The green one actually decent. There's like 3 cards that give other cards rebound, which I believe acts as another replacement effect and replaced the exile clause of jump start, recycling it back in for use again. At least I think that's how it works, I have to research. Speaking of recycling I can put some of those engines in for sure. And random madness two for ones are sick. This deck is going to be a blast to play, and all the degeneracy will be like, "well it's way less optimized b version of those cards, why you mad?" Because in this synergy they will be insane. Get ready for some mind games!
