Notes

Once more I had gone in search of something new to try. This time, the wizard subtype came up as I looked at Information Dealer (and I still only kept 3 copies). There are 31 creatures, all wizards, plus Sol Ring, Jace's Erasure, and Training Grounds. At its heart this is a mill deck, and it has the power to do massive damage to a library, though I did nothing along the lines of Tormod's Crypt, so graveyard recycling could be an issue. The inclusion of Laboratory Maniac could pair nicely with Sea Gate Loremasters to give me an alternate win condition, but Jace's Erasure could just as easily accelerate the grinding with the allies' help. I have to go with 4 stars, despite the inability to fight, as this could grind quickly out of the gate, and I can block in a pinch. It may yet see a downgrade to 3 stars. Still, a few instants and sorceries for grinding might be worth taking to get a faster jump on things. The 16/11/11/0/2 curve averages a low 2.03, so I could get a decent run from the start.
