Sixth Place (4-4)

"In addition to obvious choices like Autumn Willow and Ihsan's Shade, Homelands also sports cheap, effective creatures like Joven's Ferrets, Spectral Bears, Hungry Mists and Leaping Lizards.  Serrated Arrows is a staple in many tournament decks, and the much malighned Roots can be a very effective creature-stopper, especially in a closed environment like this one.

Then, there's the potential for combos.  Carapace and Feast of the Unicorn combine for a dangerous punch that's downright deadly on an Autumn Willow.  Homelands may have a bunch of useless cards (see Sea Troll), but it does have its share of worthwhile ones.

Set MVP: Autumn Willow.  While the Serrated Arrows were a key component against many decks, it was the Autumn Willow that usually made the kill.  With good creature elimination to support her and no cards like Earthquake to kill her off, the Willow was a major force."
