Won Pro Tour IV

Note: "Each player recieved a Mirage starter and two boosters (plus five basic lands of their choice), and had one scant hour to figure out what all the cards did, build a deck and fill out a deck record sheet."

Frank Adler: "I got all the cards and I sorted them out by the colours; that's what every player does.  And then I go to each colour, and sorted out the ones that I think are very good cards, the bad cards, and the ones you take to fill up the deck.  Then I see where are my favourite cards from Friday and try to use those colours.  I have to rearrange them because I wanted blue in it, not black, at the end.

I'm always looking for some cards that swing the game in my favour.  Savage Twister is a very good card... or the Sandbar Crocodile, because it's so big that an opponent has a lot of difficulty stopping it.  And Soar, the blue enchantment that gives flying to any creature.  Some direct red, that's always good.

Finally, I look for hard defenses, because most of the time in sealed deck you have to hold your opponent off so long until you get your cards to swing the game in your favour."
