Seventh Place (3-5)

"As a standalone set, Ice Age offers many options for deckbuilding.  We decided to go with one of the set's biggest strengths - raw speed.  Red and green provide plenty of direct damage, cheap creatures and big beasts to deliver the killing blow.  Being able to use Stormbind is an added bonus, and no Ice Age deck is complete without a Zuran Orb.  Since 49 of the cards in the deck can be played for three mana or less (including land), the Elkin Bottle is an effective weapon.

Set MVP: The flexibility of the Stormbinds as an offensive or defensive tool made it the pivotal card in the set.  Slow developing decks that couldn't deal with enchantments (like The Dark) were unable to deal with the power of the 'Bind."
