Deck Name: Elemental Uprising

Format: Legacy
Deck Type: Tribal-Midrange
Deck Theme: Elemental Synergy with ETB Triggers and Landfall Scaling
Colors: Red-Green-Blue (Temur)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description

"Elemental Uprising" is a Legacy-legal tribal midrange deck that channels the raw forces of nature through the chaotic, synergistic fury of Elementals. Built around powerful ETB effects, landfall triggers, and planeswalker support, this deck floods the board with value creatures, builds tempo through synergy, and crushes opponents under the weight of elemental power.

Its three-color Temur core balances mana acceleration, burn, and card draw — all while assembling a force of Elementals that grow stronger with every land drop or summon. This deck thrives in multiplayer environments where grindy games reward engines like Risen Reef and Phylath, and where explosive finishers like Liege of the Tangle or Verdant Force can seal the game in dramatic fashion.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to Play

Early Game:
Start with mana dorks like Leafkin Druid and Healer of the Glade, which both ramp and synergize with your elemental payoffs. Drop Creeping Trailblazer early to begin pressure, and look for Risen Reef to kick off your engine.

Mid-Game:
Play Omnath, Locus of the Roil or Overgrowth Elemental to stabilize and gain value. Use Lightning Strike to clear opposing threats or planeswalkers. Begin chaining Risen Reef triggers with Elemental drops like Mulldrifter, Phylath, and even support cards like Chandra, Novice Pyromancer to further ramp or buff your field.

Late Game:
Dominate with powerhouses like Liege of the Tangle (to awaken your lands into 8/8 tramplers), Verdant Force (constant Saproling flood), or ultimate planeswalker abilities like Chandra, Awakened Inferno. Your board can snowball rapidly if left unchecked. Use Elemental Uprising for a surprise lethal push or to take out a key threat.

Ideal Opening Hand
A strong starting hand will usually include:

2 lands (ideally different guildgates or Rugged Highlands + Simic Guildgate)
1 mana creature (Leafkin Druid or Healer of the Glade)
1 Risen Reef or Creeping Trailblazer
1 support spell (Lightning Strike or Chandra)

Mulligan if you don’t have mana fixing or early interaction.

How the Tribal Strategy Works

This deck’s core strength lies in Elemental synergy:

Risen Reef turns every elemental spell into a potential draw and ramp piece.
Creeping Trailblazer buffs your entire team — especially deadly in multiplayer.
Omnath, Locus of the Roil converts your army into targeted removal and burn.
Phylath + landfall creates wide boards; Liege of the Tangle creates massive 8/8s.
Planeswalkers like Mu Yanling and Chandra provide resilience and reach.

The more Elementals you cast, the more the deck snowballs. Chain ETB effects and play lands to go wide, tall, and explosive.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sideboard Strategy

Chandra, Awakened Inferno: Great vs. Control decks and wraths; uncounterable damage and emblem generation.

Geyser Glider: Flying threat with landfall synergy; good vs. midrange decks.

Phylath, World Sculptor: Third copy against grindy matchups; boosts landfall token production.

Woodland Wanderer: Resilient body with trample and vigilance; strong in attrition wars.

Young Pyromancer: Against spell-heavy builds, adds go-wide pressure.

Mu Yanling Emblem: Required if you go for ultimate emblem win condition.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Skill Level and Playability

"Elemental Uprising" is a deck for players who enjoy synergy-based value, tempo turns, and overwhelming presence. It rewards smart sequencing and understanding of stack interactions (particularly with Risen Reef). It’s excellent in casual multiplayer or mid-power Legacy pods.

Difficulty Level: Intermediate
Playstyle: Midrange with tribal synergy and snowball potential
Best For: Multiplayer games and casual 1v1 with long board development

Competitive Profile and Ratings

Power Level: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5)
Strong synergy and finishers, but lacks interaction and speed for top-tier Legacy.

Tribal vs Mechanic-Based Ratio: 80% Tribal (Elementals) / 20% Mechanic-Based (Landfall, ETB value)
Plays mostly through creature synergy and ETB triggers.

Speed: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5)
Starts slow due to taplands, then explodes from turn 4 onward.

Resilience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)
Excellent comeback potential with card draw and value creatures. Vulnerable to board wipes unless ahead.

Best Format Fit:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Multiplayer Casual
⭐⭐⭐☆☆ 1v1 Mid-Power
⭐☆☆☆☆ Competitive Legacy Tournaments

Complexity: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5)
Requires careful sequencing and knowledge of interactions (especially with Risen Reef/Omnath triggers).

Play Like a Pro – 5 Tips for Mastering the Deck

Risen Reef is the deck’s heart – protect it at all costs.

Play lands after Elementals – trigger landfall after maximizing tokens.

Don’t overextend into board wipes – keep a few threats in hand.

Use Lightning Strike smartly – remove combo enablers or walkers, not just any creature.

Don’t forget Trailblazer's pump ability – it wins games out of nowhere with wide boards.
