Deck Name: Demonic Supremacy

Format: Legacy
Deck Type: Tribal Midrange-Control
Deck Theme: Demon Dominance & Graveyard Recursion
Colors: Black-Red (Rakdos)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description

"The will of mortals bends before the supremacy of demons. Bow or be sacrificed."

Demonic Supremacy is a Rakdos Tribal Midrange-Control deck that overwhelms opponents with relentless removal, graveyard recursion, and some of the deadliest demons in Magic. Built for grindy multiplayer and explosive 1v1 matches, it thrives on forcing sacrifices, reanimating threats, and closing games with overwhelming power.

Armed with early disruption like Thoughtseize, Victim of Night, and Terminate, the deck controls the board from turn one. From there, it deploys nightmare-inducing threats like Desecration Demon, Archfiend of Depravity, and Grave Titan. With Whip of Erebos and Liliana’s Contract, your demons refuse to stay dead—and sometimes win you the game on their own.

This deck is for players who love hard-hitting tribal synergy, graveyard value, and brutal inevitability.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to Play

Early Game:
Strip key threats with Thoughtseize, or use Feed the Swarm and Go for the Throat for early removal.
Ramp into threats with Dark Ritual or Rakdos Signet.
Establish value early with Phyrexian Arena.

Mid-Game:
Drop dominant creatures like Archfiend of Depravity, Bloodgift Demon, or Reaper from the Abyss.
Attack and generate value with Grave Titan, especially in multiplayer.
Reanimate dead demons using Whip of Erebos for surprise lifelink swings.

Late Game:
Finish off opponents with Master of Cruelties or via Liliana’s Contract if you control four demons.
Maintain pressure and recover with recursive threats or backup kill spells.

Ideal Opening Hand:
2 mana sources (ideally one red, one black)
1 removal spell
1 demon or value engine (Arena, Signet, Bloodgift)
1 disruption (Thoughtseize, Kolaghan's Command)

Mulligan if slow or unbalanced.

How the Tribal Midrange-Control Strategy Works

Build Pressure Through Demons:
Your threats aren’t just strong—they’re oppressive. Each demon comes with repeatable value or control.

Control to Support, Not Replace:
The removal and discard package exists to let your demons shine. Once the board is clear, their impact is overwhelming.

Graveyard as a Resource:
With Whip of Erebos, losing creatures becomes an advantage.
Liliana’s Contract turns your tribe into an alternate win condition.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sideboard Strategy

Against Aggro Decks:
+2 Kozilek’s Return: Sweeps early threats
+2 Bedevil: Versatile instant-speed answer
+1 Feed the Swarm: Hits enchantments like Leyline

Against Control Decks:
+3 Duress: Strip sweepers or counterspells
+2 Liliana, Waker of the Dead: Pressure and discard

Against Graveyard Decks:
+2 Tormod’s Crypt: Free grave hate

Against Utility/Combo/Enchantments:
+1 Pithing Needle: Targets planeswalkers and combo pieces
+1 Angrath, the Flame-Chained: Control tool and finisher

Play Like a Pro – 5 Tips for Mastering the Deck

Curve your threats.
Don’t drop all your demons at once. Rotate them so one survives board wipes.

Use removal sparingly.
Save your Terminates and Victim of Nights for real threats, not bait creatures.

Whip smart.
Use Whip of Erebos when it will swing a game—especially with Master of Cruelties.

Count demons for Contract.
Watch for the win with Liliana’s Contract—protect it once you’re close.

Don't fear recursion.
Sacrifice value is fine when you’re getting it back. Play proactively.
