Deck Name: Beastly Dominion

Format: Legacy
Deck Type: Tribal Aggro-Midrange
Deck Theme: Beast Tribal Synergy with Token Swarm and Life-Based Win Conditions
Colors: Green, Red, White (Naya)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description

“Beastly Dominion” charges into the battlefield with primal force, led by an army of towering beasts and bolstered by synergistic spells, tokens, and planeswalker support. This deck thrives on overwhelming the board with aggressive threats and turning ramp into domination. Whether you’re stampeding with Rampaging Baloths, gaining life with Felidar Sovereign, or building an unbreakable front line through Primeval Bounty, this tribal midrange deck channels the raw strength of the wild to devour opponents in both 1v1 and multiplayer Legacy games.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to Play

Early Game:
Establish your mana base using lands like Radiant Grove, Wooded Ridgeline, and Evolving Wilds. Play early disruptors like Manglehorn or Anurid Scavenger to slow down opponents. Begin ramping toward bigger threats with Krosan Warchief, which also grants regeneration and cost reduction to your beasts.

Mid-Game:
Deploy powerful midrange threats like Fangren Firstborn, Thragtusk, or Gahiji, Honored One. Take advantage of value engines like Garruk’s Uprising for trample and card draw, and Primeval Bounty for incremental board presence. Support your creatures with planeswalkers like Ajani, the Greathearted and Garruk, Primal Hunter for anthem effects, life gain, and draw power.

Late Game:
Flood the battlefield with tokens via Rampaging Baloths, Felidar Retreat, or Soul of Zendikar. Close the game explosively with Titanic Ultimatum or burn opponents out using Aether Charge. Alternatively, win through Felidar Sovereign’s alternate victory condition by capitalizing on lifegain from Thragtusk and Trostani, Selesnya’s Voice.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ideal Opening Hand

An ideal starting hand includes:
2–3 lands, with at least one green source
One early creature (e.g., Krosan Warchief, Manglehorn, or Anurid Scavenger)
One ramp or value engine (e.g., Primeval Bounty, Garruk, or Felidar Retreat)

Mulligan hands that contain only expensive spells or too many slow lands like Guildgates.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How the Deck Works

Ramp and Curve:
You ramp via cost reduction (e.g., Krosan Warchief) and land drops into large threats. No fast mana, but each land drop snowballs into board presence.

Token Synergy:
Rampaging Baloths, Felidar Retreat, and Soul of Zendikar reward you for land drops and high mana. Their synergy allows you to pivot between going wide or tall.

Planeswalker and Enchantment Support:
Garruk, Primal Hunter draws you cards off massive creatures and makes Beasts. Ajani gives lifegain and vigilance. Garruk’s Uprising grants trample and value.

Win Conditions:
Go wide with tokens + Titanic Ultimatum = win
Burn opponents down with Aether Charge triggers
Alt-win with Felidar Sovereign + lifegain

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sideboard Strategy

Against Aggro Decks:
Bring in Electryte to clean up early creatures and stabilize. Use Thunder of Hooves to punish go-wide boards and clear blockers.

Against Midrange or Creature-Based Value Decks:
Add additional Soul of Zendikar for long-game inevitability and better token production.
Swap in Kurgadon from the sideboard as a scalable threat that benefits from the death of your smaller creatures.

Against Artifact or Enchantment Strategies:
Manglehorn is already in your mainboard. Consider using Beast Within flexibly to hit problematic permanents, from planeswalkers to combo pieces.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Skill Level and Playability

“Beastly Dominion” is easy to learn and extremely satisfying to play. With a straightforward creature-based plan and enough synergies to reward thoughtful sequencing, it appeals to newer players as well as seasoned ones who enjoy tribal strategies. It’s particularly well-suited for multiplayer, where your late-game presence can become overwhelming.

Difficulty Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Playstyle: Aggressive value engine with tribal synergy and token overwhelm
Best For: Multiplayer & competitive casual 1v1

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Competitive Profile and Ratings

Power Level: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)
This deck packs serious threat density. Between giant creatures, landfall-fueled token swarms, and finishers like Titanic Ultimatum or Aether Charge, it can overwhelm opponents quickly once it stabilizes. While it may lack fast starts, its mid-to-late game is dominant.

Tribal vs Mechanic-Based Ratio: 75% Tribal (Beasts) / 25% Mechanic-Based (Landfall, Life Gain, Token Swarm)
This deck leans heavily into Beast tribal identity, but is powered by mechanics like landfall and token generation that enhance synergy and explosiveness.

Speed: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5)
It ramps slowly and can be vulnerable in the first few turns. It thrives when given time to develop its mana base and board presence.

Resilience: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5)
Life gain from cards like Thragtusk and Felidar Sovereign, token production, and planeswalkers give it some comeback potential. However, it lacks stack interaction or instant-speed disruption.

Best Format Fit:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Multiplayer (3–5 players)
⭐⭐⭐☆☆ Competitive Casual 1v1
⭐☆☆☆☆ Legacy Tournaments (optimized meta)

Complexity: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5)
Easy to pick up and play thanks to its linear creature-based gameplan, but there’s depth in sequencing landfall triggers, managing token boards, and knowing when to pivot between going wide or tall.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Play Like a Pro – 5 Tips for Mastering the Deck

Don’t overcommit before the board is safe.
Save your key token generators until you’ve baited or cleared board wipes.

Sequence land drops for maximum impact.
A well-timed Evolving Wilds with Rampaging Baloths or Felidar Retreat can be game-changing.

Use Primeval Bounty as a long-term investment.
Even just a few triggers of its three modes can generate overwhelming board advantage.

Watch for lethal with Aether Charge.
Don’t underestimate the reach of direct damage from ETB Beast triggers.

Be patient with Titanic Ultimatum.
Wait for the board state where its +5/+5, trample, and lifelink effects swing the entire table.
