Deck Name: Double Strike White

Format: Legacy
Deck Type: Mechanic-Based Aggro
Deck Theme: Double Strike & Aura/Equipment Synergy
Colors: White (Mono-White)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description

"Double Strike White" is a Legacy mechanic-based aggro deck built around one simple truth: if it hits you once, it hits you twice. The deck focuses on maximizing combat efficiency through low-cost double strike creatures like Fencing Ace, Silverblade Paladin, and Mirran Crusader, paired with powerful auras and equipment such as All That Glitters, Grafted Wargear, and Spirit Mantle.

Supporting spells like Banishing Light and Dispatch help clear the way, while anthem effects like Glorious Anthem and Victory's Herald make every creature more threatening. With flying, lifelink, protection, and unblockability at your disposal, this deck aims to win through sheer combat dominance — and quickly. It thrives in 1v1 and multiplayer casual Legacy, delivering lethal blows before control or combo decks can stabilize.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to Play

Early Game:
Deploy aggressive bodies like Fencing Ace, Starnheim Courser, or Solemn Recruit.
Equip them early with Ring of Thune, Silver-Inlaid Dagger, or enchant with Spirit Link to establish pressure and lifegain.
Use Dispatch or Holy Day to stall opposing aggression or protect key creatures.

Mid-Game:
Amplify your board with Silverblade Paladin, Mirran Crusader, or Archon of Sun’s Grace.
Buff your threats with Grafted Wargear or All That Glitters to turn them into game-ending forces.
Banishing Light removes key blockers and planeswalkers in your way.

Late Game:
Close games with Angel of Destiny for alternate win conditions, True Conviction for global double strike and lifelink, or Victory’s Herald to fly over defenses.
Even a single double strike creature with buffs can end the game in one swing.
Leverage lifelink and evasive damage to stabilize or outlast attrition battles.

Ideal Opening Hand:
2 Plains
1 Double strike creature (e.g. Fencing Ace, Solemn Recruit)
1 Aura or Equipment (e.g. Spirit Link, Grafted Wargear)
1 Removal (Dispatch or Banishing Light)
1 Anthem or buff spell (Glorious Anthem, Ring of Thune)

Mulligan if:
You have no early plays, no creatures, or too many lands/aura-only hands without threats.

How the Mechanic-Based Aggro Deck Works

This deck exploits the double strike mechanic by pairing it with scaling auras and equipment. A modest 1/1 becomes a lethal attacker once enhanced with even a single +2/+0 or protection effect. The key to success is tempo: deploying cheap threats, enchanting or equipping them efficiently, and applying pressure before opponents can respond.

Unlike traditional go-wide aggro decks, "Double Strike White" goes tall — it builds a single or small number of hyper-lethal creatures. Its game plan is clear: swing fast, swing hard, swing twice.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sideboard Strategy

Against Aggro Decks:
Solar Tide resets the board if you fall behind.
Solemn Recruit scales over time, ideal in longer exchanges.
Serra’s Embrace adds lifelink and flying to help win damage races.

Against Control Decks:
Basri Ket builds pressure that survives wraths.
Divine Sacrament snowballs board-wide strength beyond reach.

Against Midrange:
Argentum Armor answers big permanents while giving a power boost.
Flying creatures and buffs help break through ground stalls.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Skill Level and Playability

“Double Strike White” is perfect for players who enjoy tempo-driven combat with explosive damage potential. While simple to pilot at first glance, it rewards careful sequencing, good mulligan decisions, and reading the opponent’s removal windows.

Difficulty Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Playstyle: Combat-focused tempo aggro with equipment and enchantment synergy
Best For: 1v1 casual and 3–4 player multiplayer Legacy games

Play Like a Pro – 5 Tips for Mastering the Deck

Double Strike = Double Trouble.
Any buff becomes exponentially stronger when attached to a double striker — prioritize them.

Don’t stack everything on one creature.
Avoid all-in strategies unless you’re going for lethal. Spread threats when possible.

Protect your tempo.
Ghostly Prison buys time, but also disrupts opponents. Use it to control the pace.

Remove blockers, not threats.
Use Banishing Light to clear the path, not the biggest creature.

Play for damage, not value.
You're here to deal 20 as fast as possible — don’t hold back unless it’s to dodge removal.

“Twice the strike. Twice the pain. One fast victory.”
